Squash Reemerges After ICE Detention In Florida

The 6ix Boss Squash has returned to social media to show fans he’s ‘still roaming’ and as rich as ever. 

The new Instagram update came on Monday (September 18) with a series of photos showing a beaming Squash enjoying time spent with family at home. 

In the last photo, the Dancehall entertainer showed off his stacks and stacks of cash, which looked to be over US $90K based on the figures labeled on the currency straps.

“Some sh-t I just leave up to god 🧏🏽‍♂️ 🙏🏽#6ixx,” he wrote on the post. (Swipe)

In May, Squash, whose real name is Andre Maurice Whittaker, was listed as being held at the Krome North Service Processing Center, an ICE detention facility in Miami.

Earlier this month, the deejay’s mother, Shelly-Ann Millwood, confirmed his release from the facility. Millwood spoke with fans on an Instagram live chat and revealed that the Scotch and Soda artist was released over a month ago, and, according to her, he was cleared of all charges. 

“Squash good man, me nuh listen people, yuh hear. Squash nuh have a charge in a foreign. Squash don’t have a case in a foreign. The artiste good, me can tell you that,” she said.

She added, “Then my son could ah in a jail and me as a mother come pon the media ah laugh? No sah the artiste good. Long time the artiste deh a road, long time.”

Before his ICE arrest, it was reported that Squash was involved in gang-related activity and a subsequent shoot-out in Lauderhill, Florida in October 2022.

The deejay, however, denied the allegation.

“Stop mix up man in ah no violence and crime business bredda. Music man ah do ova yah suh bredda, strictly music man do ova yah suh bad man!” he said adamantly in an IG live at the time.

6ix fans were happy to see Squash’s return to social media this week. “Look Who Tf Is Bck ❤️❤️! Play Time Bbclt Done!” one person remarked. 

Others urged the Dancehall star to release some new music, “We need one song like now me gad,” and “Hits after hits loading,” presumed another.
