Write For Us

We’re always on the lookout for creative and inspired writers, with a great sense of Dancehall music and culture, to join the team and help provide exciting and original content to our audience. 

Our content goes through a collaborative editorial process, and all writers are paid and credited for their work. 

What we expect from writers.

• Pitch story ideas, write and produce articles and features that will drive traffic and engage readers from an international audience.
• Cover story assignments and conduct interviews as provided by Editors.
• Turn around copy quickly and accurately, while being mindful of legal issues.

Required skills and experience.

• Excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
• Expert knowledge of Dancehall and Reggae music, and the genres’ history and culture.
• Samples of your written work of a similar nature, showing your ability to write in a concise and entertaining format in keeping with DancehallMag’s style.
• An understanding of elements of digital content writing
• Experience with the use of WordPress would be a plus but is not essential.
