Stylo G is going a little Spanish on his next one. The UK-based dancehall star has linked back up with London production duo The FaNaTiX for “CHOSEN,” a track the producers say blends smooth dancehall with Spanish vibes in the instrumental.

The single is due out later this month across all major digital platforms. The teaser for the official music video is already doing the rounds on social media, and fans are clearly ready for it.

This isn’t a first date. Stylo G and The FaNaTiX were the team behind “Touch Down,” which travelled well beyond dancehall’s core audience and became one of the bigger international moments in Stylo’s catalogue. Several music pundits reckon the pair may have landed on the same winning formula again.

Stylo G sounds pretty sure of it himself. The dancehall space is open right now because the fans ah search for the next banger, and here it is,” he said. “I am very excited about this track because, as a hitmaker, yuh just know when yuh find it.”

He’s also pitching the record as something that could shift the conversation in the genre. That’s a big claim, but it’s the kind of confidence you’d expect from an artist who has been doing this for well over a decade.

From the production side, The FaNaTiX describe Stylo as one of the easier artists to work with. They point to his writing ability and how quickly he comes up with melodies.

“As usual, Stylo G delivers with his catchy melodies and attention-grabbing flows complementing the smooth Dancehall and Spanish vibes of the instrumental,” the duo said.

The FaNaTiX are Dro and C Dot, a two-man production team and DJ sound system born and raised in London. Their credits read like a festival lineup, with work for Nicki Minaj, Popcaan, Shenseea, Busta Rhymes, David Guetta, Idris Elba, Davido, J Balvin, Vybz Kartel and Koffee.

That mix of dancehall, Afrobeats, hip-hop and Latin names probably explains why a Spanish flavour on a Stylo G record feels natural rather than forced.

Stylo G has his own long list of tunes to lean on. Dumpling,” “Too Hot,” “Bamm Bamm” and “Touch Down” all came from an artist who has built a career bridging Jamaican dancehall and the UK scene. Born in Jamaica and raised partly in London, he’s spent years carrying yard sound into British clubs and charts.

There’s a reasonable question about how much a sequel collaboration can surprise anyone. Reunions built on a past hit can easily sound like a rerun, and fans will be listening for whether “CHOSEN” stands on its own or just echoes “Touch Down.”

The early signs suggest the team is aiming for something different, with the Spanish influence as the obvious hook. Dancehall has spent the past few years flirting with Latin sounds, and producers who have already worked with J Balvin are well placed to make that blend feel authentic.

For now, all anyone has is a teaser clip and some big talk from both camps. The full video and single land later this month, and that’s when we’ll find out if Stylo G really found what he’s looking for.
