Ziggy Marley isn’t headed for an arena on his next stop in Puerto Rico. He’s booked into the El Patio Lounge in Dorado, a setting that puts one of reggae’s most recognizable names a lot closer to the crowd than usual.
The announcement came straight from Ziggy on Facebook, all caps and emojis included. “PUERTO RICO ! I will see you all this coming TUESDAY october 20th at the El Patio Lounge in Dorado with Milles Torres,” he wrote, adding, “Been a long time, looking forward to playing music for you all.”
That “been a long time” line is doing a lot of work. He didn’t say how long it’s been since he last played the island. The post reads less like a tour rollout and more like someone checking back in with old friends.
Tickets are running through a dedicated link, zig.lnk.to/puertorico2026, which places the show on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
A weeknight date in a lounge isn’t the usual move for an artist with his catalog, and that’s part of what makes this one interesting.
Ziggy is Bob Marley’s eldest son. He spent years fronting Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers alongside his siblings before building a solo career.
Records like “Dragonfly” and “Love Is My Religion” pushed him toward a looser, more personal sound. He’s collected multiple Grammys along the way, which makes a lounge booking stand out even more.
There are two ways to read a show like this. For longtime fans on the island, a small room is about as good as it gets. It’s the kind of gig where you can actually hear the guitar and see the faces on stage.
The other view is more practical. A lounge means limited capacity, and anyone who’s chased tickets for a big name in a small venue knows how fast that can turn into a scramble.

Then there’s Milles Torres, who gets billing in the post but no further explanation. Whether Torres is opening, sharing the stage, or joining Ziggy for part of the set hasn’t been spelled out, and that detail could shape what kind of night this becomes.
Ziggy also didn’t mention a wider tour or any other dates around the Dorado show. He signed off simply with “see you there ✌🏾,” leaving everything else open.
For now, the post points to just the one night in Dorado. Puerto Rican fans are left watching that link and waiting to see whether more details drop before October 20.
