Ziggy Marley

Ziggy Marley (David Nesta Marley, born 1968) is a Jamaican reggae musician, songwriter, producer, author and philanthropist, and the eldest son of Bob Marley and Rita Marley. He led the family band Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers until 2002, then launched a solo career with Dragonfly (2003) on his own label, Tuff Gong Worldwide. He has won eight Grammy Awards, including several for Best Reggae Album, as well as a Daytime Emmy Award in 2013 for the song “I Love You Too.” He is also known for his children’s music, voice acting and work as a producer on the film Bob Marley: One Love (2024). Through the U.R.G.E. Foundation, which he founded in 2007, he supports education, health and community projects for children in Jamaica, Africa and North America. His most recent album is Brightside (2026).
