Cardi B is heading to Jamaica’s National Stadium, and the people behind BZR WKND want to make sure price is not the reason anyone gets left out.
Tickets for the four-day festival went on sale Friday, August 21, with limited super early bird options starting at just $69.99.
The headline event is Cardi B and Friends: Likkle Miss Drama, a stadium concert set for Sunday, October 18, during Jamaica’s Heroes Weekend.
Organisers are billing it as a full takeover featuring international and Caribbean acts across hip hop, R&B, dancehall, and reggae.
Ryan Burke and Gramps Morgan, who are co-organising the weekend, were direct about the thinking behind the tiered pricing structure.
“We don’t want price to be the reason someone misses out,” they said in a joint statement, adding that multiple ticket tiers were built specifically so every patron can find something that works for them.
That approach signals that BZR WKND is positioning itself as more than a premium event for a narrow audience. Getting Cardi B into a National Stadium setting in Jamaica is a big swing, and the organisers clearly want the stands full when it happens.
The full weekend runs October 16 through 19, kicking off with a Welcome Party on the Friday night. Saturday brings a second event described as embodying the culture and spirit of Jamaica, and the weekend wraps with an exclusive closing event on the Monday.
Demand, according to the organisers, is already unusually high ahead of the on-sale date. That tracks with the buzz Cardi B has been generating this year, including a halftime performance at the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden back in June.
For Gramps Morgan, who is a recognisable name in reggae circles himself, co-organising a show of this scale in Jamaica carries its own weight.
His involvement suggests the event is genuinely rooted in the local culture rather than being a purely imported production dropped onto the island.
