Spice Slams LHHATL Co-Star Erica Mena On Instagram: “Safaree Is Your Karma!”
An irate Spice fired up Instagram timelines, spilling some tea about what’s brewing in the upcoming season of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta (LHHATL). It appears the Queen of Dancehall has found herself in the middle of Erica Mena and Safaree’s feud but she insists she’s not picking sides.
“I don’t want people [to] say I’m picking up for Safaree. I’m just speaking facts to the face[s] … something that some people can’t do,” Spice said during a heated Instagram live while at the airport. “And ah dat cause the friction and ah di problem cause some gal fake and dem nuh want mi tell dem the truth,” she said about Mena.
Reality stars Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels, who share children Safire and Legend, finalized their divorce in March last year after 2 years of marriage. But from Mena’s many breakdowns on the show, it’s evident she’s been having trouble coping.
Spice, unlike her other “fake friends” and castmates, says Mena simply needs to get over it. “Mi nuh fake like you friend dem wah ah listen to you cry every day and talk bout ‘Oh Safaree doing this to me, Safaree doing dat to me.’”
“B—ch, di whole a we a single modda too, ah nuh you alone. Guess what there are 7 billion people in ah di world and you ah nuh the first one weh ah divorce. Like mi tell you in ah yuh face, you are not the first woman weh ah get divorce and you nah go be the last,” Spice continued before being interrupted by a fan wanting to take a photo-op.
Spice and the former couple had always been good friends as seen on and off the show. Safaree in particular, who is of Jamaican descent, seems to have a closer friendship.
Last month, Safaree turned heads on social media when he gifted Love & Hip Hop’s Amara La Negra’s toddler twins Rolex watches. Mena wasted no time to slam her ex-husband for not doing anything close as lavish for his own kids. Erica also called out Safaree for not giving enough child support.
The rumors online now are that Safaree and Amara are dating, and since Spice and Amara are friends, it seems the Romping Shop deejay has gotten on Mena’s bad side. On May 6, Spice was also spotted hanging out with Safaree and Amara where the three shared a hearty laugh at an off-camera joke.
“You vex wid me because me and Amara ah friend and because mi go ah Miami ah talk to Amara? Amara was my friend before she go deh wid Safaree!” Spice said.
She continued by pointing out that Erica was friends with Safaree’s exes, Nikki Baby and Estelita Quintero, before she started dating him, which led to Spice telling Mena, “Safaree is your karma!”
The Go Down Deh singer continued in her rant, calling Mena “fake,” as she has been kind and cordial to her face but talks ill behind her back.
When Spice was battling for her life at the hospital in a recent health scare, Mena told Spice that she was praying for her recovery. However, on the LHHATL camera, Mena was seen arguing with Safaree for crying over Spice.
Up to last week, Erica was spotted at the Fort Lauderdale Marriot North supporting Spice when she received “The Key To The Region” of Florida in a symbolic ceremony.
Now it appears, in one of the most recent tapings of the show, Erica finally blew up on Spice. The Dancehall singer alleged that the former model/video vixen flipped over the table during their heated confrontation.
“You see when we go in a di scene earlier and flip over the table? You flip it over because you never want me talk because you a try silence me because you know say out of everybody pon Love & Hip Hop franchise mi a one ah dem, I don’t hold my mouth. Mi ah go talk di truth and mi a speak the facts to you face,” Spice said.
“Mi nuh haffi stay like you and do it behind mi back because dats what you do. You talk sh#t about me behind mi back and when you see me in ah mi face, you want laugh and act like me and you a friend … b—ch you fake as f##k! Get the F##k outta here b—ch!”
Spice also disclosed that Erica flew off handle because she asked her about the whereabouts of her oldest son.
“So me and you a talk, and you couldn’t talk to me because mi ask you where is your son,” Spice said.
“You ah scream down the place for ‘two’ children, you need fi have the energy fi the ‘three’! … Ah three you have! You vex because you oldest son nuh like you! Because you drop him off from him ah 5, and all now you nuh go back go pick him up.”
“B–ch lemme tell you sum’n, don’t play wid me … Erica you start something with the wrong person!” Spice continued.
On Tuesday (May 16), the Send It Up singer captioned the footage of her rant on Instagram, stating, “SUCK YOU MADA ERICA, FAKE AF Behind my back then you want to laugh in my face for TV. I’m not picking up for Safaree IDGAF who he wants to fuck that ain’t my dick. Bright AF Bout yah come flip over table fi get hype affa mi, Gal go buy some canesten and move from deh.”
Erica Mena has yet to respond to Spice’s post, but a few of her LHHATL castmates had something to say about the matter.
“I had a moment…, @spiceofficial 💙💙💙 🇯🇲,” Kirk Frost wrote on an IG video post today. The reality star said he felt compelled to support Spice for speaking the truth.
“You know mi not never do a live but I see Spice having some lil sh-t going on … But one thing im a say on some real sh-t, Spice you are a real mothaf— dawg and that’s on some real sh—t,” he said.
Spice responded to the post: “The world knows that @frost117 don’t be talking and going on no Dam IG Live, he’s a different kinda Boss Man, so when I saw this IG live it really really made me realize that not everyone is fake, we actually still have real people out there and that’s all I’m gonna say.” (Swipe)
