Popular Music Video Director Lumba Dead Of Heart Attack

Popular music video director Tevin ‘Lumba’ Taylor of Blacq Road Media Films died suddenly of a suspected heart attack on Sunday morning after falling sick only hours before.

“Right now, mi really cut up over this…is a man not even get sick so this is a big shock to me,” dancehall artist Miguel Wealthy, a cousin of the deceased, told DancehallMag

According to reports, Lumba had ordered some chicken from a popular jerk chicken vendor on Red Hills road, only to fall sick hours later.  Lumba, who is known for his stellar video work with a number of dancehall artistes, experienced severe diarrhoea and vomiting. Concerned relatives rushed him to the Kingston Public Hospital in downtown Kingston.

He was referred to the University Hospital of the West Indies where he experienced cardiac arrest and died.

“Mi really cut up and this shake up a lot of artistes because he shot a lot of great videos for them,” Miguel Wealthy said.

Lumba would have been 29 years old next month.

He shot videos for songs for his cousin Miguel Wealthy such as Freaky Gal, P…P… Scamming, Caution and Bubble.

“This is a great loss for the music industry,” Miguel Wealthy said.

Lumba shot videos for singles such as Nation Boss’ Solidarity and Dream, Pain for Silk Boss, Love Shoot for Skillibeng, Feel Secure by Kash, and Garrison Above for Chronic Law.
