Music mogul and producer DJ Khaled is back in “Album Mode” and has once again touched down on Jamaican soil to add that to add to his upcoming project.  He’s so far tapped Buju Banton, Capleton, and Skillibeng for the final touches on his upcoming album, due out sometime this year.

The Miami native shared the moments he jetted off last Friday (June 24) and later arrived at the exclusive Rio Chico by Sandals Resorts in Ocho Rios, dubbed the ‘Holy Mountain’ by Khaled, who has been a frequent to the luxury property.

Khaled revealed that he was “On the way to shoot the album cover” in Jamaica and has since met with renowned photographer Dapper Lou at his resort stay this week.

It appears Dapper has already caught 5 possible shots for the project’s cover art.

“This man Dapper … Man Different! #FanLuv the pictures we got today…Wow, Album Mode it’s special, Very, Rough edits we already found 5 covers!! @dapperlou Lets Go!!” Khaled excitedly wrote in an IG update on Tuesday.

‘Album Mode’ With Gargamel

Over the weekend, the We The Best Music exec was hard at work, sharing photos of a studio session with Buju Banton.

“They didn’t believe in us … @bujubanton Did! They didn’t believe in us … Jamaica🇯🇲 Did! Album mode it’s special, Very! #WeTheBest @wethebestmusic God did!” he wrote in the caption.

Video Shoot With Skillibeng

In other photos taken earlier this week, Skillibeng was also seen linking Khaled on the Holy Mountain for a day of dining in the river and “mediation.”

Skilli also joined Khaled for what appeared to be a video shoot in a nearby locale on the island on Monday.  In May, the Crocodile Teeth deejay linked with Khaled previously at his Miami home.

Capleton “Burned down the studio”

The ‘Fire Man’ Capleton arrived a few days later and, as Khaled puts it, “Burned down the studio.”

In several videos uploaded by Khaled, the Burn Dem Down deejay is seen ripping the mic in a recording studio with his entourage … and later setting off a fire alarm (literally).

“Jamaica 🇯🇲 I’m Working On Something Special For My New Album!!!!!!!” Khaled wrote, “Fire Man🔥 Burn Down The Studio Last Night !!!! 🔥🆙 @capletonmusic @wethebestmusic King Of 🔥 Fire 🔥 Man! More 🔥 4 corners 🌎 going feel this!”

Prior to meeting up with the Jamaican talents, Khaled hinted at several other possible collaborators on his forthcoming thirteenth studio album Anthems, many of whom have been photographed in various studio sessions with him. In May, he teased Lil Baby as his latest recruit, joining other features including Drake, Future, and 21 Savage.

DJ Khaled revealed in a recent interview at the Billboard Music Awards that the upcoming compilation would be the biggest yet. The release date has not been confirmed but this will be the multi-award-winning record producer’s follow-up to his Khaled Khaled album.

That album, which released in April 2021 featured Drake, Jay-Z, Cardi B, Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, and Jamaican stars Buju Banton, Capleton, Bounty Killer, and Barrington Levy.

Khaled Khaled debuted with 93,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending May 6, 2021, according to MRC Data.   The album earned him his third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.

Since his trip, Khaled also linked veteran Reggae producer Trevor “Leggo Beast” Douglas. Leggo shared the occasion on Instagram, stating, “The harder we work the better we become “we the best” Thanks to @djkhaled for the strength and to @leggorecords for believing in my skills #legends #studio #studiolife.” And in another post, “This day was a joy Give praises fi life and things it bring.”

Khaled also linked with Usain Bolt at his Tracks And Records sports bar and grill in Kingston last night.
