American songbird Mya has touched down on Jamaican soil.  She’s not on the island to see her Girls Dem Sugar collaborator Beenie Man but was instead spotted in the studio “cooking up” something with Dancehall veteran Bounty Killer.

After teasing earlier this week, that his Junior Gong executive-produced album King of Kingston was “95.5% complete, Killer appears to be adding the final touches with the RnB soul singer.

In an Instagram post today, Bounty shared scenes inside the studio with Mya vibing and ‘whining’ to their new beat, also suggesting the single may bear the name “Whine.”  On the post, which he has since deleted, he wrote in the caption, “@myaplanet9 [Mya] giving dem a piece of di Jamaican whine🇯🇲 Coming 🔜” WHINE.”

Bounty also shared a photo of himself and Mya beaming their pearly whites in the studio, and said, “Cooking up ⬆️ island fire with @myaplanet9 🌪🔥🌪🔥🌪🔥🌪🔥🌪🔥🌪🔥🌪🔥🌪🔥🌪🔥🌪🔥.”

Spotted in the studio session were producers, Colin ‘Bulby York’ Youkat and Steve Marshall Dubagent, who both appear to be a part of the production.

Bounty’s one-time rival Beenie Man was one of the first to catch wind of the news as he headed to the Warlord’s IG page to give his full endorsement on the move. “My G dem #MusicMode,” he wrote in the comments.

Others to share their salutes were rappers Busta Rhymes and Safaree, who both dropped a string of fire emojis on the post. Ro Marley too did the same, along with producer Bobby Konders, and Dancehall deejay Charly Black who said, “This ago Turrrrrrble 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.”

Although there is no official release date for the forthcoming King of Kingston album, Bounty has been somewhat transparent with what to expect.

His video share with Mya today gave fans a snippet of the verses and acoustics of the new song with Mya carrying the hook.

Over a week ago, Bounty also shared a teaser of a new track he did with Vybz Kartel and the audio for another with Dexta Daps, which he hinted would appear on the album.

Earlier this year, he revealed that American music mogul DJ Khaled would be producing a song on the collection.
