Multiple Olympic champion and world record holder Usain Bolt will certainly be missed at this year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

When asked if he would be attending, Bolt told DancehallMag that “due to the restrictions no fans are allowed so I will not be in attendance, but I will be at home watching and cheering for team Jamaica.”

Japanese government officials announced yesterday that the games will be held without fans due to a rise in COVID-19 infections in the city, according to USATODAY.  Originally, 10,000 Japanese fans were permitted to attend the events.

Despite the restrictions, Bolt also had some advice for the athletes, “Enjoy the experience and always remember anything is possible, don’t think limits.”

The Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the XXXII Olympiad, are scheduled to be held from 23 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan.

In the meantime, Bolt and his manager NJ continue to drop feel-good Dancehall music.  His latest, It’s A Party, was released today, from his A-Team Lifestyle label.

The song and music video comes just in time for the opening up of the entertainment sector in Jamaica and elsewhere in the world. Prime Minister Andrew Holnes announced on June 22, that small parties are allowed in Jamaica and anyone seeking to stage a large event will be required to pursue additional clearance from the Ministry Of Health for the event.

In the new video, both Bolt and NJ can be seen partying at a poolside water park in Jamaica with celebrity cameos by Ding Dong, Deesha Ravers and Ricardo “Bibi” Gardner.

It’s a Party is a follow-up single to Living The Dream which has just over 500 thousand views on YouTube off Bolt and NJ’s upcoming album.

Last month Usain took over Spotify’s Taste playlist and added a list of dancehall songs including some of his own.

The Olympic athlete who is now keeping his pulse on the dancehall’s achievements globally gave kudos to Charly Black, who is on the Gold Cup’s official theme song Juega along with Cali Y El Dandee.

“Charly Black continues to represent for dancehall music internationally. It’s a testament to Charly’s hard work and dedication to his craft. It’s a major look for the genre to have him do the theme song,” Bolt said.
