Dancehall legend Louie Culture will be releasing a new album with Billboard-charting producer Rohan ‘Jah Snow Cone’ Fuller within the next few months. The album is “almost complete”.

In the meantime, the Ole Gangalee singer has released a single, Anointed, from the upcoming set.

“The feedback from Anointed has been great, it has been getting good rotation, so we are happy for that. To tell the truth, me and Snow Cone were supposed to mek the link already because is ah long time Bling Dawg did tell mi that Snow Cone asking for me. So, I went to studio and a deejay named Earthworm tell me the same thing. Mi just go check Snow Cone. And the work started soon after,” he explained.

Louie Culture experienced a major resurgence in his career when Dexta Daps sampled his blockbuster hit, Gangalee, for his own chart-busting single, ‘Call Me If’ earlier this year. The reclusive deejay even appeared in a music video for the remix which featured hip hop star Torey Lanez.

“The future looks promising, a lot of promoters have been calling me and with the world opening up again after COVID-19, I will be on a lot of shows in the US and Europe come next year, but mi ah tek it one step at a time,” he said.

Three weeks ago, Louie Culture dropped another single Gideon which was released on the Dun Rich label.

“The fans say they love the fact that they are seeing more music videos with me on a regular basis. They love the Gideon song and I will be shooting several music videos for singles from this album with Snowcone,” he said.

Louie Culture, given name Lewin Brown, hails from Windsor Forest in Portland. Early in his career, he made a link with the then popular Mad House Crew and recorded songs such as Live and Learn, a collaboration with Wayne Wonder; Excellent; Bogus Badge; Revolution Song; No Gal and Gangalee, which was also the title of his debut album produced by Stone Love.
