Reggae crooner Jah Cure was seen showing out over the weekend, with his brand new Mercedez Benz and good friend, King of the Dancehall, Beenie Man.

The Doctor and The Cure were seen playing around and taunting each other in viral clips on social media, and seem to have buried the hatchet on their near twenty-year feud. “Which fren? Ah breda ting dis,” Jah Cure is heard saying in the video, in a show of unity that fans have applauded.

The feud between Beenie Man and Jah Cure started in an infamous incident involving the Dude deejay and reggae veteran, Capleton. During a New York performance, Beenie Man took the stage before Capleton’s set was finished as the Hunt You artist had apparently overstayed his time. Things got heated, and Beenie Man alleged that Capleton’s rasta entourage was waiting to assault him at the Norman Manley International Airport.

Among them was the then-unknown up and comer, Jah Cure, who aggressively defended the Fireman. As Beenie Man told Jamaican Youtuber Teach Dem last year, Jah Cure stepped to him on Capleton’s behalf and that caused the rift that lasted into Cure’s thirteen-year jail sentence.

It seems there’s been a truce for some time now, as Beenie had also told Teach Dem that he and Jah Cure were “good”, and that him serving time in prison gave both men time to cool off and let bygones be bygones. “Ah tink ah dat mek me an him no war, ‘cause him go ah jail. Cause him know mi ah come find him enuh, ‘cause a bad man too enuh. Nuh tek him fi fool enuh, is a serious rasta,” Beenie said in the interview.

In the widely circulated Instagram clip, the two are laughing, goofing around and Jah Cure is heard teasing Beenie over his BLU ‘banger’ phone. Their brotherly hugs and light-hearted antics have fans calling for more unity among members of the Dancehall fraternity, as the egos of the two giants clearly hasn’t hindered them from putting aside their differences. “Him know seh me nah see him ah road and pass him no where,” Jah Cure said in the clip,  to which Beenie replied “My friend dis enuh ‘cause we a bad people.”

Apart from mending fences, Jah Cure also flexed with his new Mercedes convertible over the weekend.

“Another day again, yuh know how we stay. Always ah upgrade an renew. Stay inna yuh lane and stay inna yuh zone,” he says in the IG video before taking the black E-Class for a drop top spin.
