There could be a possible collaboration between Kenyan artiste Tanasha Donna and Jamaican Dancehall songstress Shenseea with a potential video shoot happening in Kenya.

Shenseea is hot bread these days, from riding high on her hit collab Lighter with Tarrus Riley to her recently becoming a brand ambassador for Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty as well as the UK’s PrettyLittleThing.

The Dancehall queen bee is in top shape, and it seems that people overseas are taking notice, and not only in the traditional spaces.  According to The Standard, Donna has hinted at a possible collaboration between the artists.

“The music’s video will be shot in Kenya! Recently, the Liar singer congratulated Shenseea on her latest collabo with fellow Caribbean star Tarrus Riley on a song dubbed Lighter,” the Kenyan newspaper reported.

While this has not been confirmed by Shenseea’s camp, the news has been picking up steam, especially in Kenya, where the Side Chick Song singer has been developing quite a following.

The Shenyeng boss has probably added fuel to the fire by following the Kenyan artiste on Instagram and liking a number of her posts.

Based on other reports, Tanasha Donna made the revelation on Citizen TV recently and indicated that collaboration could happen before the end of the year. The song is also expected to provide Tanasha with the sort of exposure she needs to become a star not only on the African continent but globally.

Tanasha is mostly known for a number of hits in Kenya and Tanzania, including the recently released Liar, La Vie, and others. She was also recently nominated for two AFRIMMA award categories.

Both artistes have a similarly large following on Instagram at over 2.5 million fans each.

For Shenseea, this would mean more work and expanding her brand on the African continent. Since her breakthrough in music, she has continued to make major strides, securing international collaborations with the likes of Tyga, Swae Lee, and Young Thug.

However, much more is expected from the Blessed songstress, who is now tipped to make the crossover into the mainstream market, especially with her signing with Interscope Records, the first Jamaican dancehall artiste to do so.
