Omah Lay just watched 12 of his songs sit on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart at the same time, and his next move is a song about looking back.

“Back to Lagos,” featuring Gunna, is one of four unreleased tracks on Clarity of Mind Extended, the deluxe edition of his sophomore album, out now via Sire Records and Warner Records.

The song finds the Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer weighing what fame has cost him. He revisits the dreams he once chased and the personal toll of actually catching them.

The production leans dark and moody, built on ominous basslines, atmospheric guitar and haunting choral touches. It gives Omah Lay plenty of room to reflect without the beat pulling focus.

Gunna, the multiplatinum rapper, brings his distinctive flow and a more measured perspective. His cadence plays off Omah Lay’s melodic delivery, and it is a telling sign of how naturally American rap and Nigerian pop keep finding common ground.

He is not the only outside voice on the deluxe. French rap star Tiakola appears on “Take,” a record about moving past material distractions, which pushes the project toward European listeners too.

The other two additions keep things closer to the album’s core. Keep Going” rides understated dance rhythms with an uplifting tone, while “Holy Ghost Fire” strips the album’s spiritual ideas down to keys, guitar and violin.

“Holy Ghost Fire” was produced by Lekaa Beats, who also handled “I Am,” the hypnotic, affirmation driven track at the center of the original album.

That song wrestles with the space between self confidence and inner conflict, so the new record reads like a quieter continuation of that conversation.

The original Clarity of Mind run gave Omah Lay plenty of reasons to keep the project alive. On top of his personal best on the Afrobeats chart, the album debuted at No. 8 on Billboard’s World Albums chart and No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Top Albums debut chart.

It was also his first full length project since 2022’s Boy Alone, the album that widened his international audience. Clarity of Mind followed his 2026 GRAMMY nomination alongside Davido for their collaboration “With You.

Across the album, Omah Lay swings between spiritual awakening and earthly temptation, vulnerability and ambition.

The visuals for “Artificial Happiness” and “Canada Breeze” lean into that push and pull, and “Don’t Love Me” got a special performance through COLORS.

There is a quiet tension in the rollout, too. A song about the price of success arrives on a deluxe designed to stretch that success further, with two global features attached.

Fans who connected with the album’s searching, inward mood get more of it here. Listeners who first found him through bigger crossover moments get Gunna and Tiakola as fresh entry points.

With more than 3.8 billion Spotify streams, Omah Lay has been folding alternative, electronic and Afro fusion sounds into his music for a while now.

The tracklist has grown to 16 songs, and the next thing to watch is which of the new ones follows the originals onto the charts.
