The Bronx rapper took to Instagram on Wednesday, November 4, to celebrate the first birthday of her son with NFL receiver Stefon Diggs. The post confirmed his name is Grey and included the first clear photos of his face.
The pictures show Grey sitting on a bed, dressed up as a doctor for Halloween. It’s a sweet, low key way to end twelve months of mystery.
Cardi’s caption leaned into what the pregnancy meant to her. She said carrying him through an uncertain, pressure filled period gave her extra strength, writing, “I was growing you inside of me and at the same time you were giving me life!”
She also told Grey he had changed what a “Grey day” means to her. Instead of gloom, she said, the phrase now points to his smile, his laugh and the spirit that lights up her life.
Grey was born on November 4, 2025, and Cardi announced the birth nine days later. Her hospital photos showed her alongside Diggs and their newborn, but the baby’s face stayed hidden and his name stayed off the record.
For most of the year, fans only knew him through nicknames like “Baby Brim.” Even that first hospital carousel was carefully framed to keep him concealed, a level of privacy that stood out for an artist who usually shares so much.
