Dancehall deejay Rygin King shows zero signs of slowing down or changing his formula on his road to recovery as things are looking as Tuff as they’ve ever been in his camp.

The DJ most recently shared a new photo of himself, comfortably posing in a ‘rifle stance,’ on his Instagram page which was captioned “Inside”.  It is one of a few new snaps we’ve seen of the Dancehall star since the deadly shooting incident last June that left him seriously injured and, Shashalee Blackwood, dead.

Loyal Rygin King fans showed up below the photo to show their continued support.  “Standing strong,” said bhadgyal_nikkii, followed by “Stronger than before” from mia_stress_dem.

“Glad the artiste up and running again,” added another fan, but others pointed out the continued glorification of gun culture with his pose in the new photo.

My fellow Jamaicans, please stop glorifying the gun ting,” said one user, while another added, “it nearly kill you and here go again with the gun thing.”

One fan said, “Brother I was hoping to see a hand clasp giving praises to the most high for being alive.”

Gesturing a rifle stance after being shot, put it down yute, learn, evolve, grow and remember. Just my thoughts.,” said another fan.

“Youth you shouldn’t even be making that pose u should be making a pose like u done on your knees praying to allah, buda and selassi,” added another.

King, 25, whose real name is Matthew Smith, has been on a steady grind since his return to the scene after being hospitalized following the attack on his entourage.  He has been releasing new music and videos, defying all talk of possibly losing his ability to walk.  His team also directly denounced rumors that King was paralyzed after he completed a second surgery in July.

The singer’s latest single Glu has gained almost half a million views since its release last Sunday, October 25. It’s vibe and tone closely resembles that of his 2018 hit Tuff where listeners were initially introduced to his preferred way of life and appetite for women.

Glu‘s video shows Rygin in a more than comfortable situation with a pair of provocative ladies living out what is best described as the fantasy of many. “My girl mi love weh yuh do, a you have the glu” recites the innovator who is often called the Trap King of Dancehall.

In previous releases, his tone and lyrics have been a lot less lustful, with the deejay disclosing a lack of trust in No Emotion and directly addressing his attackers in Mission.

Prior to the shooting, he was reminiscing on his come-up in Me Myself & I.

King’s fans appear sincerely impressed by his return to music, and the artiste has thanked them for the loyalty, love, and support they’ve been continuously sending his way.
