Kabaka Pyramid is closing out his year on an island. The Jamaican reggae artist’s newly announced Rebel Music US Tour wraps in Hawaii, with shows in Wailuku on November 27 and Hilo on November 28, after a month spent zigzagging across the mainland.

The run opens November 4 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. From there it heads through North Carolina, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, California and Oregon before the final Pacific hop.

The timing is deliberate. This year marks 15 years since Rebel Music, the project that first put his mix of roots reggae, dancehall and hip-hop lyricism in front of a wider audience.

He already went back to that chapter once this year. In August 2026 he released The Lyrics Tape edition of Rebel Music, putting the original songs and their themes back in the spotlight and making the case that they still land today.

Kabaka sees the tour as the live version of that argument. “Rebel Music has always been about using the music to uplift, educate and connect with people,” he said.

“Fifteen years later, the message is still alive and still growing,” he continued. “Taking this tour across the US and ending the year on the road feels like the right way to celebrate that journey with the people who have been supporting the music.”

There’s another way to read the setlist plans, though. The shows won’t be a straight anniversary replay, since the tour will pull from across his whole catalogue, pairing Rebel Music material with fan favourites and songs from later in his career.

That later work carries real weight. His 2022 album The Kalling, executive produced by Damian Marley, won Best Reggae Album at the Grammys in February 2023, and a good chunk of the audience on this tour likely found him through that record rather than a mixtape from 2011.

So the run is doing two jobs at once. It’s a thank you to the listeners who caught Rebel Music early, and an introduction to that era for newer fans who arrived with the Grammy.

The routing is worth a look too. Alongside expected stops like California and Texas, the tour leans into Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Oregon, plus two dates in Hawaii, where reggae has long had a devoted following.

Born Keron Salmon in Kingston, Kabaka Pyramid built his name on sharp writing and social commentary as much as on musicianship.

His live shows have taken him around the world, and he’s become one of the most recognised voices in contemporary reggae.

Venue details and full city listings for each stop are expected to circulate as the November 4 opener gets closer. For now, the dates are set and the road is waiting.
