Cardi B is heading into her third album without the team that helped her finally land her second one. The Bronx rapper and Full Stop Management, the heavyweight firm run by Jeffrey Azoff, have split after four years, according to TMZ.
Before anyone starts digging for drama, there doesn’t seem to be any. TMZ reports the parting was amicable, with both sides simply deciding to move forward separately and no dispute cited.
Cardi signed with Full Stop in November 2022. Shawn “Tubby” Holiday played a major role in steering her career at the company, and he was part of the team around her during one of the most closely watched stretches of her run.
That stretch was defined by waiting. After Invasion of Privacy made her a household name, fans spent years asking where the follow up was, and the question turned into a running joke online.
Full Stop was in place as Cardi finally pushed Am I the Drama? across the finish line. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2025, which is about as clean a closing chapter as any management deal could ask for.
Seen that way, the split reads less like a breakup and more like a partnership running its natural course. Management relationships in rap turn over all the time, and ending on a chart topper gives both parties something to point to.
The timing is what makes it interesting. Cardi isn’t coasting on the success of her last record, she’s already talking about the next one.
Earlier this month she told The Breakfast Club that work on album number three had already started. She said she planned to lean harder into recording after her birthday, which suggests the studio calendar is about to fill up.
Complex reported she already has two songs she likes and is aiming for a 2027 release. For an artist whose last project took the better part of seven years, a two year turnaround would be a real change of pace.
That’s the other side of this story. Walking away from a firm like Full Stop right as a new album starts taking shape could be read as a gamble, or as Cardi wanting fresh ideas around her before the heavy lifting begins.
