Dancehall superstar Beenie Man has been compelled to cancel all of his upcoming events after a dire diagnosis by his doctor that he is at risk of losing his foot which was injured during a car accident last month.

The Sim Simma deejay posted a video to social media on Saturday where his orthopedic surgeon broke down the serious nature of the injuries and the possibility of amputation if ‘The Doctor’ did not allow himself the time to heal properly.

The surgeon said grimly: “He has an injury to the right ankle and it is recommended that he stays at home, [and] elevate the foot because if not there is potential of him losing the foot; possibility of amputation is very high. So I recommend that he does not travel any long distances, worst by aircraft.”

Beenie Man apologized to his legion of fans for his upcoming gigs.

“Big big apologies to all my fans and well-wishers; to the promoters. This is circumstances beyond my control,” he said.

He explained that his desire to honor his contractual obligations had only worsened the situation.

“People it’s no joke, I got a sprain and a cut and I took it for joke. I went to England and I went to Israel and I made it worse so in order for my foot to get better I have to rest,” he said.

In late November, Beenie fractured his ankle when a taxi collided with a bike that he was riding in the Corporate Area.

A source close to Beenie Man said that he was briefly hospitalized, but a few days later, he jetted to Barbados to headline an event with fellow Jamaicans Bounty Killer, and Popcaan, along with Machel Montana.

On IG, Beenie also shared video and photos of himself, his girlfriend Camille Lee, Rihanna, and her boyfriend A$ap Rocky sharing a moment backstage at the event.
