Shenseea‘s collab with Scottish mega-producer Calvin Harris and American singer Charlie Puth titled Obsessed has made its debut on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 chart at No. 76.

At the same time, Fireboy DML’s Diana, which also features the Jamaican singer and Chris Brown, has landed at No. 17 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats chart.

These are the Trending Gyal singer’s first entries on either chart.  She’s one of two Jamaicans to have a spot on the Canadian chart at this time.  BEAM’s collab with Beyoncé, titled Energy, is currently at No. 97 on the Canadian chart and No. 76 on the US Hot 100.

Shenseea is also the second Jamaican to enter the newly created Afrobeats chart.  Popcaan’s Toni-Ann Singh collab with Burna Boy had peaked at No. 12 in July.

Obsessed, which appears on Harris’ new album Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2, had debuted at No. 71 on the UK chart dated August 18. It is the only new song from Harris’ 14-track set on the UK chart this week.  The previously released Potion with Dua Lipa and Young Thug is at No. 68, down from its peak at No. 16.

Diana appears on Fireboy DML’s newly released third studio album, Play Boy, which debuted on August 5.

Obsessed has earned over 944,000 plays on YouTube since its release, while Diana has surpassed one million.

By all indications, Shenseea, 25, is busy with a new album in the works.

“I’m so used to dropping singles every other month that working on albums got me stressed tf out 😂” she tweeted on Sunday.

This was followed up with a reiteration that her new project, no matter how long it takes to be completed, will be worth it.

“The music I’m working on now is worth it tho. I’m showing a side I’ve always been afraid to show ❤️,” she added.

Shenseea has an upcoming collab with Anitta, one of three new songs, which will appear on the Brazilian star’s Versions Of Me [Deluxe] project.

The deluxe album will be released sometime in August.
