Jamaican singer Shenseea brought out rising Dancehall star 1Biggs Don during her performance at Reggae Sumfest 2022 early this morning, in what some are calling one of her best presentations to date.

Dressed in a green embellished bodysuit with matching gloves and thigh-high boots, Shenseea made her way to the stage after Ishawna’s controversial set, with her Gold-certified song Blessed.

The Mandeville-born singer’s confident demeanor was evident as she belted out lyrics to songs like Upset, Dolly, and ShenYeng Anthem.  Soon after, she called on her team—co-manager Romeich Major, DJ Donavan ‘Black Boi’ Thomas, and producer/road manager Rayon ‘Slyda Di Wizard’ Curate—to join her on stage.

“You see these three men, a dem support mi career. Romeich, dem call him a dress-maker, Black Boi a him load mi set on stage and Slyda a mi producer, a him build mi beats dem, unuh look pon dem hand, wah this name, wah dis name?” Shenseea said, as the three men showed off the Rolex watches she had gifted them in March this year.

It was the perfect introduction for breakout deejay 1Biggs Don, who is now known for his Rolex flossing hit song Bwoii Affi.  Grateful for his Sumfest debut, Biggs left the stage saying “Shenseea mi love you” after performing the track.  The official video for Bwoii Affi has picked almost 3 million views since its release last month.

Next up for her set was a choreographed presentation aided by three male dancers to her pop song Can’t Anymore, followed by Foreplay, Good Comfort, and Rebel.

Shenseea closed her set with Lighter, her 2020 collab with Tarrus Riley, which she dedicated to Donna-Lee Donaldson, who was reported missing last week, and to the woman and her four kids, who were killed in Clarendon recently.

“Let me see your hands up for Donna Lee, yea mi did a wait for Sumfest to talk about it, hands in the air for the mother who they killed and slash har pickney dem throat,” she told the crowd.

As a mother herself, the 25-year-old also shared a sweet moment with her son Rajeiro, who appeared surprised by his mom’s gesture, and gave her a questionable look with a jeering smile.
