Mura Masa, Pa Salieu, Skillibeng Drop New Visuals For ‘blessing me’: Watch
After the release of the provocative yet highly infectious audiotrack, blessing me in May, Electronic music producer Mura Masa, Dancehall star Skillibeng, and British rapper Pa Salieu have now appeared in new visuals for the single.
Courtesy of video director Emmanuel Cossu (The Weeknd’s Sacrifice SHM Remix, Drake’s Energy, M83’s Midnight City), the three music stars are rendered in a vintage-style film with colorful artwork and retro effects.
Pa Salieu puts on an animated performance while laying down his verses. The production also gave the Dancehall ‘Fresh Prince’ an added opportunity to bring his very witty lyrics to life: from triggering laughs with an unorthodox ‘baptismal’ to searching Cheikh Nefzaoui’s manual, ‘The Perfumed Garden’ for the scriptures entailed in “Proverbs 5, verse 18,” which he teases in his verses.
blessing me will appear in Mura Masa’s 12-track album demon time slated for release on September 16, 2022. The 26-year-old music producer is best known for his work on Love$ick (now sitting at 100 million YouTube views) that features A$AP Rocky, along with other tracks such as Firefly, If I Go, and 1 Night.
Brit sensation Pa Salieu broke ground with a bang in January 2020 when he released his debut single Frontline. It was the most-played track of 2020 on BBC Radio 1Xtra and one of his best performing singles to date, along with Dem A Lie, My Family, and Glidin’.
Dancehall star Skillibeng has made a name for himself with his fan-favorite singles Brik Pan Brik, Crocodile, Teeth, Not, and Mr. Universe and his most recent hit Whap Whap.
