Dancehall deejay Popcaan has weighed in on the ongoing beef among the popular women in Dancehall, claiming that their behavior is unlike that of the male artists.

“Mi waan know if the ooman dem inna dancehall music a live worsa dan di man dem,” the Unurly Boss began during a brief Instagram Live yesterday.

“A weh di bomboclaat a gwaan? Weh di ooman dem a deal wid? Unu want some hood inna unu vagina or wah? Unu a move brazen enuh. Like unu ooman inna dancehall, unu nah get the right set ah sex. Unu too miserable man. Unu need Papaskull inna unu life fi de-stress unu cause uno too stress. Unu a cuss unu one another. Weh di f-ck wrong wid unu?”

“Spice a cuss Lady Saw, Lady Saw a cuss Spice, Spice a cuss Shenseea, Shenseea a cuss Jada, Jada a cuss… Wah di f-ck wrong wid unu man?!” the Relevant deejay whose given name is Andrae Sutherland continued.

The squabble started over a week-and-half ago after the former Queen of Dancehall Lady Saw, now Minister Marion Hall, conducted a Facebook Live sermon condemning the lyrics spewed by Spice— the new self-proclaimed Queen of Dancehall, Shenseea, Ishawna, and Jada Kingdom.  The former Queen said she was taking responsibility for starting the ‘slackness’ in Dancehall, but was advising the quartet to turn to God or risk “losing their salvation”.

Just as the Minister hoped, “Gracie”, as she affectionately refers to her former friend, saw the video but its content did not reach the Black Hypocrisy singjay on good terms.  A very aggravated Spice responded with a lengthy Instagram live last Friday, which Pamputtae later joined.

Unlike the Grammy-nominated Queen, Shenseea subsequently skirted around the controversy during an IG live of her own, noting that she’s “not answering no artist!”

Jada Kingdom clapped back at Hall in a series of Tweets on Monday morning.  Among other things, the Heavy! singer challenged the Minister to a clash.

Popskull continued with his shenanigans on his latest Live, and said he had the perfect ‘remedy’ for all the tension the women have created.

“Unu fawud an’ nuh bring unu thong wid unu…naked man! Mek me teach unu a lesson like UTech (University of Technology) a weh di bloodclaat do dem yah ooman yah?! Unu need some hood inna unu vagina man…unu a cuss cuss every minute like unu man.”

“Dem seh the Dancehall male artist dem nuh live good and we a war boat an’ always cyaa unite. But dem yah ooman a gwaan bad from wah day. Di ooman dem get outta hand man. Lady Saw jump offa pulpit now! Yuh know how long mi a wait pon har fi come outta dah church deh?…”

“Unu send dis go give Spice to man. Send di live go give the wull a dem. Wull a dem horny ooman dem oil a ride dem. Tell dem seh mi have the bloodclaat remedy fi dem. Dem a cuss too much!”

Contrary to Poppy’s statements, the men in Dancehall have had their fair share of disagreements. However, they have often opted to settle them in the studio; as opposed to over social media.

Popcaan, himself, has had a long-standing beef with the Man Himself, Alkaline, and Mavado.

Some of the other popular beefs among males in Dancehall include Gully versus Gaza, led by Mavado, and now incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel, respectively, Vybz Kartel and Alkaline, and during the 90s Beenie Man and Bounty Killer among many others.

The Win deejay further expressed a desire to orchestrate a ‘meeting’ with all the women in Dancehall to get to the bottom of the issue.

“We woulda like fi call a meeting wid all the ladies. But memba how it go. Naked party. Skinny dipping. So dat mean seh, when unu ready fi cuss unu memba seh is not a fighting party. Is a bloodclaat chilling party and sex if unu like cause memba a me seh ‘sex pon di beach, pon di riva we a dweet if yuh like,’” he added, referencing his 2020 Valentine’s Day track, Sex On The River.

“We can have a foursome, fivesome…all ooman weh a cuss, unu join in, and mek we have dah amount a some deh…di ooman dem inna Dancehall, unu cut unu f-ckry out. If unu bloodclaat have a problem, unu come an ride my dick over here,” he continued to troll.
