Beenie Man Reunites Stonebwoy, Samini On Stage Signalling The End Of Their Beef
Grammy award-winning Dancehall deejay Beenie Man brought two Ghanaian rivals together on stage during the fifth edition of the Bhim Concert, yesterday.
As Pulse.com.gh described it, the Girls Dem Sugar deejay performed a miracle when he brought Samini and Stonebwoy on stage to reunite them after months of dispute, which sent the packed audience at the Accra International Conference Centre into a frenzy.

The beef between the men started over a year ago when the Afro-dancehall star decided to accept a lyrical battle from Shatta Wale – Samini’s number one ‘enemy’ – during the Asaase SoundClash concert.
Samini expressed his disappointment in Stonebwoy for accepting the challenge from Shatta, in a series of Twitter rants. Stonebwoy, however, retaliated during the clash, labeling his former manager as a ‘sellout’. “If like say eno be sellout when some father sellout ah, anka dem go friend this one (Shatta Wale),” he said during his performance, according to Pulse.
The back and forth continued with Samini, during an interview with Joy FM, who noted that he was ‘hurt’ that Stonebwoy disregarded his efforts. “If I hear you on radio saying I am not there when you need me, it hurts. It makes me sit and break down,” he said.
“How did I sell out Stonebwoy? If Ghana can answer me,” Samini quizzed, adding that “those were the things that hurt me.”
According to GhanaWeb, the tit for tat transcended into 2021 with both men going at over Stonebwoy’s congratulatory comments to Nigerian acts, Burna Boy and Wizkid, for their Grammy wins.
But at yesterday’s Bhim concert, Samini, who celebrates his 40th birthday today, emerged as a surprise guest artist and performed with Stonebwoy. Watch the performance below.
Stonebwoy took to Instagram on Wednesday morning to express gratitude for the monumental night.
“Thank you all for coming out on a Tuesday like this. My fellow artistes, friends, the media, the industry, fans and well wishers. I deeply love, respect and appreciate the independent roles you serve in combination with my “windows might” in continuing to bring the best of me…This cannot be taken for granted,” he said.
