Camille Lee Says Beenie Man’s Past “Toxic Relationships” Will Not Define Theirs
Last week, Dancehall star Beenie Man kicked the rumor mill into high gear when he shared photos of his apparent love interest, Camille Lee. The UK-based events entrepreneur took to Instagram over the weekend to set the record straight in light of all the chatter.
According to Camille, Beenie has found his way back to her after an attempt made 20 years ago to hook up.
“Attempted 20yrs ago now it’s our new beginning,” Camille wrote alongside a video clip taken at her recent birthday soirée, as the two shared a tender moment while dancing. “Muting all negativities assumptions speculations hateful jealous envy emotions and focusing on growing our relationship for however long God has ordered it.”
In the since edited caption, Camille also declared that she will not allow Beenie Man’s past relationships to determine their future together. “In addition, whatever toxic relationships Moses [Beenie Man] had involved in the past I will not allow it to define our relationship!”
Lee also cleared up speculation and rumors that she was still involved with her ex-husband. “Both being single for yrs there’s no animosities between us and my ex husband….” she wrote.
“I understand there’s been genuine concerns on both sides but in respect allow us to explore our journey without any public approval 🙏. We appreciate everyone for your thousands of best regards. God will always be in control🙏🤗❤️ #newchapter #blacklove #simmaalbum,” she continued.
“Don’t be envious be Inspired! We all deserve happiness #happyus,” she captioned another video clip. “There’s fire in me if loved correctly I’ll warm your entire home…If not I’ll burn it down! #thankyouforlovingme #thewayyoudo #after #21yrs,” she continued.
Camille’s latest exposé brings attention to Beenie’s many past relationships and which ones are being referred to as “toxic.”
In circa 2000, Beenie had just split with Dancehall Queen Carlene Smith. They share a daughter, Crystal.
Beenie’s next public relationship happened years later in 2005 when he started dating the ex-girlfriend of his then nemesis Bounty Killer—D’Angel. The two married just a year later but are now divorced, with a son, Marco Dean.
Another public romance for Beenie Man, 48, was his engagement with politician Krystal Tomlinson. The two reportedly started dating (privately) in 2016 before they were spotted canoodling at a Rebel Salute event. After the birth of their daughter and Beenie’s youngest child, Xiah, in 2018, they called it quits in January 2021. Though Beenie stirred somewhat of a spectacle with the breakup announcement, the two seemed to have parted on amicable terms.
The deejay reportedly has 12 kids in total.
In addition to Crystal, Marco and Xiah, the Dude singer’s dozen also includes dancer Desha Ravers, and up-and-coming artist Moses Davis Jr.
