Incarcerated Dancehall star Tommy Lee Sparta has revealed that his new album Transition will be released one day after his 34th birthday, on November 5, 2021.

The new project, which was executive produced by Sparta and his manager Boss Lady Muzik, will be a double album packed with 26 new tracks including features with Chronic Law, Skillibeng, Jahvillani, Stylo G, Honey Milan, Laden, Dre Swade, Skirdle Sparta, Leaha and Acemark.  Among the producers contributing to the album are Anju Blaxx, Drop Top Records, Damage Music, Zimi Records, Diamond Studios, Cyzmik Music, and several others.

The album comes as Sparta is serving a three-year prison sentence after he pled guilty to the illegal possession of a gun and ammo in March 2021.

As depicted on the Yin and Yang/Pheonix cover art, the double album will show two sides of the controversial artist, according to a release.

“His usual depictions of a more carefree, party-filled lifestyle, which he has accrued a massive fan base, are all tied together thematically on Side B of Transition. Side A favours a more gritty, raw depiction of a society that is seemingly falling apart at the seams,” the release said.  “Tommy Lee Sparta hopes to transition into a different space in his current life, with more of a focus on his core brand and the more positive things he’s known for.”
