‘Sir P’ Fires Back At Squash, Shab Don For “No Doubt”

Sir P–the popular Jamaican YouTuber, has fired back at the 6ixx boss Squash following the release of the Shab Don-produced No Doubt. In a 27 minutes-long video, released on September 19, 2021, the Politricks Watch host not only doubled down on his allegations concerning Shab Don, but hurled some new insults at Squash, the least of which was calling him a ‘Teletubby’.

Though much of Sir P’s comments hold weight because of the reputation he has developed on the platform, they are largely unsubstantiated, and as such, won’t be explored or repeated in-depth here. For reference, you can view the video on the Politricks Watch channel.

That being said, purely on a lyrical front, calling a Dancehall artist a puppet, as Sir P has done in relation to Squash, usually never goes well and typically constitutes an act of war. And, if Squash’s response in No Doubt is anything to go by, the lyrical grit, disrespect and disregard for Sir P is sure to intensify, especially considering Sir P’s penchant for adding fuel to already combustible situations.

As reported some time ago, Sir P made certain allegations tying Shab Don, whose real name is Linval Thompson Jr., to the death of Daniel Whittaker, Squash’s brother, back in 2017. Despite several reports from various news sources confirming that the young Whittaker died in an alleged shootout with the security forces, Sir P’s retelling of those events ultimately triggered Squash’s response in No Doubt, and, given his line in the song: “If a you kill mi bredda mi woulda mus’ f@#k yuh up” – directed at Shab Don, it is reasonable to assume that left unchecked, Sir P’s comments could cause some rather serious repercussions between the deejay and his long-time friend and producer.

For Sir P, while his platform is built on information sharing, primarily with a focus on exposing criminal elements, his strategy in this lyrical warfare is unclear, though there are some strong hints evident in his relevant videos.

As opposed to Squash’s position, which is that of defending at this point, Sir P’s claim that Shab Don unwittingly revealed one of his closest associates in response to a recent video, in addition to his other explosive allegations, may suggest that he attempts to cause distrust and isolation among the dancehall interests involved in this beef.

Given the likelihood of the above, it should be interesting to see how the 6ixx camp responds, if any at all, in the rest of this back-and-forth.

Squash’s No Doubt is currently trending No. 3 in Jamaica, with over 400,00 views on the official audio since its release five days ago.
