Former Team Spice dancers Keticia ‘TC’ Chatman, Tashlicka ‘Prettii Prettii’ Laird, and Christina ‘Dancing Rebel’ Nelson—collectively known as “The Dollies” or PTR—couldn’t be happier after they were ‘followed’ by the renowned ‘Queen of Rap’ Nicki Minaj on Instagram.

After parting ways with the Queen of Dancehall late last year, the dynamic trio set their sights on bigger and better things.  They subsequently landed their own YouTube reality series dubbed Dancehall Life, a production by Downsound Entertainment, and Prettii Prettii has also made the transition to music.

Minaj, who is a huge fan of Spice, may have caught wind of a few episodes of Dancehall Life, which has gone into their second season now, and must have liked what she saw. So much so that she decided to start following each of the dolls on Instagram yesterday.

To celebrate, the dolls decided to give Minaj a 100-meter race, playing on Jamaica’s 1-2-3 medal domination of the female 100-m sprint at the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics.

“Listen I can’t believe this …..bomboclothhhhhhhh,” Prettii captioned the video.

TC was in complete euphoria upon realizing she had a new superstar follower when she shared the evidence her IG feed.

“Is this for real? Somebody affi pinch mi,” she wrote on a post with an accompanying video showing that of the 539 people that Nicki is following, she and her dolls were among the chosen.

“I love this for me and my friends @prettyofficial__ @rebelofficial_94🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 @nickiminaj a follow di dolly dem enuh,” she added.

Dancing Rebel also shared the coup by reposting a share from @StatsofMinaj that expressed hopes of seeing some Dancehall style choreography from the girls for one of Nicki’s upcoming projects.

An ecstatic Rebel wrote, “😭😭😭😭😭😭 mommy and daddy 🕊 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 look yahhhhhhhhh @nickiminaj ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️.”

Rebel lost both her parents last year.  Her father, Wayne Nelson, was laid to rest in November 2020, one month after her mother, Hilma Thomas, died from cancer.

Meanwhile, the Dollies were the envy of many who knew how momentous of a feat this was to them.

Among those to congratulate the girls were Shenseea’s manager, Romeich Major, along with Dancehall artists, Bad Gyal Ce’cile, Moyann, Dovey Magnum, plus others like fellow dancer Desha Ravers and more.
