In the midst of rumors swirling around the Romeich Entertainment camp, top boss and manager to Shenseea, Romeich Major, recently landed in the hot seat on Instagram. The producer faced backlash from several Dancehall fans for snide remarks thought to be aimed at Queen of Dancehall Spice.

Following the overwhelming success of her new Shaggy and Sean Paul collab, Go Down Deh, the Inches deejay has been showing out and sharing with fans each YouTube milestone reached in a record time.

Naturally, Spice was extra ecstatic when the engaging single reached the 10M mark, and she commended her ‘Besties’ fan base for their help with the first time feat.

“10 Million views in 4 weeks and still On trending #GoDownDeh it’s a Historical day in Dancehall #Jamaica 🇯🇲 Woooiiieeeeee We did it Joe‼ We did it‼ OMG Besties. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲  This is what Real views with real people watching looks like. If it’s been done before please let me know because GO DOWN DEH is still on trending one month now. 😘😘😘” Spice wrote.

It seems the label head took Spice’s words as a challenge, and rose to the occasion with some stats of his own.

On his Instagram account two days ago (June 1), Major reshared a Tweet from a Shenseea fan page which said, “@SHENYENG still hold the record of the female artist to hit 10.2 millions views on blessed in 3 weeks & 10 million views in 9 days with lighter.”

In his Instagram caption, which some Dancehall fans felt was a jab at the blue-haired diva, Romeich wrote: “In today’s history! Facts not Fiction.”

His comments filled up quickly as fans called him out for encouraging enmity in the already divided Dancehall space.

“A first me ever see Romiech directly starting mixup with his team”, one fan wrote questioning the timing, while many others who felt certain of his negative intentions proceeded to air him out on the company’s page.

“This never call for. Yup, we know what and who this is aimed at”, one fan wrote, while another said, “I didn’t think spice ment any thing when she said what she said. The dam woman just happy. It’s not every thing some ppl if run with. The petty party never call for.”

Romeich, who it’s widely rumored no longer manages dancehall star Teejay, chimed in with defensive responses to the accusing comments.

“[S]o me posting something positive about my artist is doing something bad to dancehall or maybe is your mind thinking something wrong?” Romeich said in response to the user who chided him by saying “this is why dancehall can’t better”.

He later threatened to block a few of the unrelenting Instagram users: “So wait is when since me can’t post a pic on my page and type a caption but Jesus.. let me have the block button on speed touch”, Romeich wrote.

But many kept pressing the clothing designer, including one fan who noted the crossover challenge both female artists face, yet are continuing to make strides.

“This is giving off competition vibes.. though we were ALL Jamaican in a market that’s not ours…we should be celebrating each other. I know drama makes content but jeez”, she wrote.

Another fan clapped back using Major’s own words, saying “Remember Tyga was the reason that song got so many views FACTS NOT FICTION.”

Meanwhile, Spice is busy in promo mode for her Magnum-sponsored Go Down Deh dance challenge. It seems based on a follow-up caption that the Receipt singer saw the shady antics, but chose to leave things on a lighter note.

“Dancehall I’ve been with you for 20 years‼ You’ve been supporting me way before they even made Instagram and I’m humbled and grateful. Yes I’m the first female to be on trending for a Month and I love and appreciate all of you so much, THANK YOU 🙏🏾 Besties we got this 💪🏿 Don’t listen the noise,” Spice said.
