Spice, Sean Paul And Shaggy Score With Nostalgic Party Vibes In ‘Go Down Deh’ Visuals: Watch

Three Dancehall icons plus one irresistible riddim equals fire visuals on Spice’s latest banger, Go Down Deh. The Queen of Dancehall’s new video blends lights, cameos, and sensual actions, proving yet again she’s untouchable with her title. Starting things off with a simple command — Stay down deh gyal! — the Queen treats us to three minutes of her agile antics and a new dance move while she’s at it.

The dark, glizy clip has all the right elements to match the pumping bashment track; club vibes, choreography and plenty of eye-catching fashion.

Shot at MECA in Kingston, Jamaica, the music video’s crossover potential is already on full display, premiering on BET Soul, BET Jams and BET.com, and Spice’s Official VEVO. Director Jay Will creates a party centric dreamscape with intriguing backdrops and flashing strobe lights.

Legends Sean Paul and Shaggy look as dapper as ever spitting provocative lines among acrobatic dancers. The nightclub nostalgia is as real as it gets as Spice poses with her Magnum Tonic Wine, and wines to the floor with fluid rotations.

GoDownDeh-Spice-Feat-Shaggy-and-Sean-Paul-Cover-As is also the norm for the Graci Noir diva, the fashion choices are on point..and then some. One moment the Queen looks like she’s ‘dripping in diamonds’ in a spiked pearl bodysuit, and in another, she twerks up a storm in a rain-soaked scene with her neon yellow raincoat, hair and nails.

Cameos from a few youngsters in the game complete the pre-pandemic party vibe. Crooner Naomi Cowan, Walshy Fire of Major Lazer, and Shaggy and Spice’s Saucy Remix co-star Kemar Highcon are patrons in the lit club scene.

With all the splits, shaking and displays of stability, Spice still comes through with the gripping bars. “My time fi wine/ Mek dem know seh dat nobody cyaan stop mi shine/ Caribbean gyal dem ever clean an refined/ Gyal jus mek dem know dat you are one of a kind”, she spits on the track.

50K views in its first hour isn’t too shabby for the reigning Queen. The track was already a song-of-the-summer contender, and the veteran trio has only fueled the fire with this visual masterpiece.

Meanwhile, fans have reassured the Rolling deejay of her waistline activating abilities. “CHO… IT BAAAAD BIG UP YUH SELVES..GREAT TUNE BASS LINE BAAAAD…” one fan wrote, while another said “Mi naah lie the song & video bad!!!! About 10 times mi watch this video back over mi love it big up SSS them This sell off!”
