Reggae Artist Kumar And His Wife Mourn Loss Of Their Newborn Son

Reggae artist Kumar Bent and his wife have lost their newborn baby, Kaleb.

The former lead singer of Raging Fyah shared his pain with fans in an Instagram post yesterday, where he uploaded two photos taken at the UWI Hospital in Jamaica.

“The kinda pain you cant explain we are shocked and heartbroken kaleb my son will forever be apart of our family,” he wrote in the caption.  “My wife and I are going through the darkest days ever as we grieve the loss of our new born son.”

“Meds mash up jah jah 😭. Can’t think can’t eat can’t sleep I am numb at the moment. Kaleb you were too perfect for this world,” he continued.

The accompanying photo shows Kumar consoling his wife with the child in her arms. He also shared an intimate photo of the child.

Friends and fans showered the post with support. Several of his colleagues also expressed their condolences.

Roamin Virgo said: “My brother 😢 I’m sending my love, blessings and prayers to you and you family in this tough time bro. I’m so sorry fam,”

Another fan added,  “My condolences to you and your wife. This is rather painful but I pray that God will strengthen you both and make provisions for bigger blessings. Be strong and grieve your loss!!”

In 2020, Kumar dropped an album called Kulture Walk two years after he left Raging Fyah and revealed that the group had broken up because of differences in ideas and opinions. “There’s still not a lot of explanation being done on both sides. My side or the band’s side in terms of what really happen because you know it wasn’t the easiest decision for me to make,” he said at that time.
