The Queen of Dancehall and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Spice has been trying to rebuild her ‘Team Spice’ in Atlanta and so far it seems her outreach has been going well.

Spice took to Instagram yesterday April 8, to share an update on the progress in a video which she captioned, “Atlanta Job fair was amazing. Thanks for coming out. I love you all so much. I’m ready to build an empire.”

Speaking from what looked like a Queen’s throne (of course), in a pink outfit with her signature blue hair, Spice shared that the people who responded to the casting call were taking it very seriously. The singer, who now resides permanently in Atlanta, added that some hairstylists had shown up with manikin heads to show just how much they could do. “Dancers are here..am choreographer is here. Everybody is here.”

While emphasizing that she was adhering to health protocols, she took her fans for a virtual stroll, which showed scores of people lined up waiting for their chance to join Team Spice. As she scanned the adoring crowd, some persons revealed what they came to apply for which included designers, drivers, security, social media influencers, and dancers.

She thanked those lined up and said, “We a build an empire, real people, dream team, and we just outside right now and we’re getting prepared for the single release party coming up so you know we have to have the real rollout.”

She added, “and my album is coming out, album 10 and the big single “SSS,” referring to her upcoming album as well as her triple “S” collaboration with Sean Paul and Shaggy.

The Dancehall Queen was spotted in photos earlier this year, minus her Jamaican dancers Danger, Rebel, TC & Pretty Pretty.   In the photos, making the rounds on social media at the time, Spice essentially debuted some new faces of Team Spice.

After December’s social media debacle with spiritual adviser RT Boss, there were murmurs (and of course memes) about the hunt for new dancers following the controversy and their fallout.

The search seemed to be over, and the three were spotted jet-setting in matching Graci Noir attire as well as rocking blue bandana stage ensembles.

It also appears that members of the new contingent joined Spice for a mini-show in Safaree and Erica Mena’s backyard two days ago.

Many viewed this as confirmation that the four who’ve comprised Spice’s acrobatic, theatrical stage crew since 2017 were officially booted out after the public brawl, which included an IG Live back and forth and brandishing of receipts.

The group, which once included Renee Sixthirty and Dance Xpressionz, also had a U.S. installment, and it’s felt that those in the photos are now in Spice’s permanent employ.

Team Spice is a five-year-old promotional effort started by the Cool It deejay, who spoke highly of their promotional value when the venture was launched. “Dancers play an important part in us (artistes) bettering our craft. Without the dancers our music would not be executed to a wider audience, and that’s why I continue to support my Team Spice dancers and push them to the forefront,” she told the STAR at the time.

Dancing Rebel and Pretty Pretty have since joined Romeich Entertainment.

Konshens Praises Spice For Rising Above Drama

Konshens, who has an upcoming song with Spice, was in the comments of the job fair video and shared that he was proud of the Queen for rebuilding her team, despite the recent controversy.

“Creating opportunities while treating yourself as the serious BRAND you are. Tried this a few years ago, creating opportunities for people and team building and majority of them turned against me, me did seh mi done wid ppl til about a year ago, to see you go thru drama after drama and still at it again is inspiring,” he said. “Some people get a way, some people mek a way.”

Spice responded to the comment saying, “Bro I feel you on this in so many levels. it’s hard to know you build people and them same one turn against you and you best believe you will build more people again and again and they will still turn against you.”

She added, “We can’t change people nor their mind set but we can continue to build and create an unforgettable legacy with or without who we started with. We are who we are ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿 it’s not how the race starts it’s how it ends.”
