Wasp, Jahvillani Swap Fiery Bars As They Try To Save Daniiboo In ‘Time Bomb’: Watch

Just when you thought you’d seen it all in Dancehall, Wasp dropped a buzzing new track and visuals on his fans. The song titled Time Bomb is a lyrically charged Jahvillani collab with a witty quality that’s resonating with fans. Directed by concept king Icey Jace, whose work includes Sean Paul’s Bad Inna Bed and Torpedo by Skillibeng, the clip delivers a full-on suspense thriller in less than three minutes as the two take on the ‘Dancehall bomb threat.’

Produced by SteptoDem Musiq, the musical blast is a welcome contrast to singles typically heard on the airwaves. The track is meant to entertain and delivers in that vein, keeping fans curious about the “bomb in the session, destructive weapon”. The video clip creates all the necessary tension — dancer-turned-artiste Daniiboo plays the ‘damsel in distress’ with a ticking bomb strapped to her chest.

The visuals start with a news bulletin that sets the tone for the heroes to step on the scene. “Breaking News, there is a bomb threat in dancehall at an Attack Nation location. Popular entertainer Wasp thinks he can diffuse a bomb. Jahvillani disagrees; in fact, Jahvillani thinks he’s insane,” the reporter says.

The Clear The Way deejay knows nothing can stop the attack, and delivers his bars with a comical element — “So yuh neva have future plan?/ Wonda why yuh deh try fi diffuse a bomb/ Weh yuh feel like, Hulk or Superman?/ Selassie I, wahpm to da yute yah man?” Jahvillani spits.

Wasp however seems unnerved, talking like an expert on the ‘explosives’. “Jus cool dung, calm down yuhself man/ Dis easier than common entrance/ Pass di screw driver, no, di pliers”, but Jahvillani hits back, warning of the imminent attack, “Yah go need more than dat, yuh need prayers.”

Time runs out as they continue to swap sick rhymes on the bouncy beat — “Yo cut di blue wire, no di red one”/ “Dawg if you try dat you is a dead man”. When the bomb explodes, the scene cuts to Wasp waking up from his fiery daydream as his well-timed lyrics ring out, “Mi explode like a bomb inna dancehall.”

The TV news reporter provides an update on the ‘dancehall time bomb’. “Wasp’s career has exploded as the hit single Time Bomb featuring Jahvillani has topped the Billboard charts and is the No.1 trending song in the country,” she says.

She accurately sums up the star’s anticipation for the project, however, Wasp is already stepping things up, currently in promo mode for his just-released track Choices with G Whizz on Good Good Productions’ Self Trust Riddim, as well as his mixtape, The Oath

Fans have lauded Time Bomb’s concept and creativity, calling for more episodes and a similar show of unity right across the board in Dancehall.

One very impressed user wrote, “Story line shot , lyrics shot , video shot……. Everything bout di video shotttt 🔥🔥💣💣💣💣💣 #Attackwildside 💣💣💣💣💣💣”, while another who had their eyes glued to the “WaspTv” drama quipped, “Big up all who fa eye nuh blink while watching 👀👀👀👀🤔💣💥💥💥.
