Dancehall Artist Alozade Drops New Song After Recovering From Stroke

“God ah God” was the phrase that dancehall artist Alozade used to describe his recovery after he suffered a mild hemorrhagic stroke in August 2020.

“Right now, I just leave everything in God hands. Mi go studio and hear all kind of things how mi bedridden, face twist and all these things. But right now the only thing is that I walk with a little limp, little pain here and there but I understand say a just Jah a work,” he told DancehallMag.

“This was a just an eye opener and a new lease on life, and a push in teh right direction to start eat healthier and use natural herbs,” Alozade said.

Alozade has been in studio working on various songs that will be released during the course of this year. He thanked his fans for their unwavering support.

“I consider myself an established artiste like Shabba Ranks, Bob Marley, Beenie Man and I’m just glad that I found a place in people’s heart because is not every song that sing really stands out in a human heart”.

“Right now Alozade have songs that never play in Jamaica and yet still them a mash up the place in Europe. But with no deterrence nor initial change, it can only be a dream until when you hit the hardest part and that is to make your name,” he explained.

The deejay, in January 2021, released a single in collaboration with Gott Yo called Cherish The Day. Produced by Frenz For Real and Zinc House Music, the song is currently on all media download platforms.

Alozade rose to fame after employing his unique brand of profanity to dancehall songs and he has performed at some of the biggest Jamaican reggae festivals, including Sumfest and Sting.

He first gained notice in 1999 with his track Street Dreams which was released on Byron Murray’s In The Streets label. However, his biggest hit would come in 2000 with Bad Man Nuh Pet Gal.

He changed focus from singing and began working as a producer for his own South Block label. He had a successful go at it scoring with some hit singles like with Capleton’s In Her Heart in 2004 and Elephant Man’s Keeping It Jiggy.
