The resilient Rygin King has finally spilled the beans about the recent shooting incident that took the life of his girlfriend and almost his own, in a new single Mission. Even though he has dropped other tracks like No Emotion and Larger Than Life since being discharged from the hospital, they didn’t quite touch on the topic.

Mission begins with a pre-recorded news briefing, announcing the unfortunate incident to then hear King warn, “Go tell dem seh we nah dead fi now cah we nuh ready fi die”, before singing his affirmation in the hook, “All now mi nuh rich yet, but I’m gettin’ there/ I’m on a mission, the vision is clear/ When dem a wish death, order ma steps/ Everyday when mi touch di road…”

Chronic Law & Chilando – Nuh Count Favors

The very prolific Law Boss never disappoints in what has become one of his weekly releases. Nuh Count Favors is a profound message to the so-called friends out there that count the favors they offer as well as talk about them with others.

“Real friends nuh count favors … everything you do fi me, you write it down then you take it and tell strangers. Favors wha me do fi you, mi never broadcast like news. Affi careful a the friends weh mi choose,” … is just a graze off the song’s lyrics.

They are as deadly as they come; GAZA VP Sikka Rymes and his Empire followers band together for the video production of the Worl’ Boss’s newest track Skate. Kranium – Through The Window

In another cheating scandal, Kranium gets caught this time around according to his new single Through The Window. The track is a tantalizing story of how the whole act went down with each verse tainted in suspense.

“The boy outside and a make pure noise. Bun involve so me go draw fi a knife, smaddy fi get slice. Yow a one ting me know, same way me come in, man a go,” he says at one point, leaving you wondering, what’s going to happen next, then he pines on the hook, “Oh please, she a bawl and beg and a plea. Mellow Mood Featuring Kabaka Pyramid – Mr. Global

In this smooth Reggae ballad, Mellow Mood and Kabaka aren’t holding back anything. Mr. Global is a representation of the leaders in our society that has been oppressing the people, even zeroing on perhaps one very familiar president. “Mr Global lies you a tell too long / Instead ah bridge or fence, a wall you a pree. You have the refugee dem in a tent a bawl and a plead/ you just a build the prison dem and people with dem different color skin, you fill it up with them. Man have the nerve fi tell we say you nu racist, you same one put my people on slave ships,” Kabaka sings.

Chronic Law – Cah Stay Suh

Chronic Law is full of inspiration these days, his single Cah Stay Suh is a life lesson, encouraging the youths to live with a clean and pure heart, and this he says “You cah stay suh!” … Put in the work dog if you want famous. You want fat car, you want dear house – struggle deh behind every success you hear bout.”

The music video is severe case and enlightening portrayal of what Jamaicans call ‘red eye.’ i.e. when people hate you for your success and material things. In this scenario, it’s such a bad case; an ambitious young achiever is set up and killed because he bought himself a new car.

Released on October 2, directed by Wikid Media, check out Chronic Law’s must-see video Cah Stay Suh here –

Teejay – Stimulate

The Up Top Boss, Stimulates to great extreme in his new single and music video, which dropped today. In very sensual lyrics, Teejay matches every word with even sexier imagery as he appears in an intimate showdown with a mesmerizing leading lady.

He serenades his beau, “Gyal you got the body of a goddess, some gyal a talk, tell dem say dem average. Pretty like di gyal dem a Paris.”

Released on October 2, produced By Johnny Wonder & Adde Instrumental and directed by Wikid Media, watch Teejay in Stimulate here –

Spragga Benz Featuring Kymani Marley – J

From his newly released album The Journey Chosen, Spragga Benz’s single J – (short for Jamaica) with Kymani Marley is a tribute to the island of his birth. He describes the country in a clever metaphoric phrasing, comparing its beauty and temperamental state to a schizophrenic femme fatale in lyrics like:

“Is like a woman weh have the prettiest face and have the wickedest waist, Jamaica rough like any ghetto in the States. Its like she locked up in the embrace but any second – schizophrenia – she snap and have a gun and a chase.”

This is just a mere inconvenience, however, as he continues, “But a di place weh mi love, mi naa go lef it, Jamaica a mi country and mi naa stop rep it.” He also dedicates several verses to honour athletes like Usain Bolt and Aliyah Atkinson along with the local cuisine, i.e. “pan jerk chicken, fry fish & festival.”

Released on September 27, produced by Redsquare Production, listen to the official audio of J with Spragga Benz and Kymani Marley here –
