Veteran dancehall artiste Beenie Man on Saturday (July 18) revealed that his mother had been released from the hospital. The singer said that while his mom was not “out of the woods yet” he was thankful for all of the prayers that had gone up for her speedy recovery.

“Hello everyone, this is Moses Davis, as you know. I just want to thank each and everyone who send out prayers the other day for my mom and all of the heartfelt good wishes,” said Beenie Man in a one-minute long video posted to Instagram.

Beenie Man sent a special thank you to former dancehall artiste-turned gospel act Marion Hall for her special prayer for his mom.

“Thank you very much to all my co-workers who sent out prayers, I get a straight prayer from Lady Saw– Marion Hall- I thank you very much,” added Beenie Man.

The artiste noted that while his mom was at home and doing much better, she was still in recovery.

“My mom is out of the hospital right now – she is not out of the woods just yet -but she is better than when she went in, and she is doing very well,” said Beenie Man.

Beenie Man further said that he believed the power of prayer and the intervention of the doctors was crucial in getting his mom to a place where she could further recover at home.

“They say prayers are very strong and I think all the prayers and the help from the doctors… each and everyone thank you very much,” added the dancehall artiste.

Earlier this month Beenie Man, whose real name is Moses Davis, shared with fans that his mother had been hospitalized at the University of the West Indies Hospital.

Davis even gave fans an intimate sneak-peek into his emotional trek to the hospital to visit his mom on July 5, as he documented his journey on IG.

Beanie Man, at the time, revealed that his mother had suffered a stroke and had been in the hospital for some time.

Instagram fans got a chance to see another side to the usually upbeat entertainer who appeared emotional as he talked candidly about his mother’s condition during the hospital visit.

“People me mother inna the hospital and a one of the worst times- fi know seh you a go visit your mother inna the hospital, when you know seh she sick. It is not somewhere weh mi like reach,” the veteran dancehall told his IG audience at the time.  The singer encouraged fans to keep his mother in their prayers.

The artiste, through his Beenie Man Foundation, had also donated a 50-inch smart television to the ward of the hospital that his mom was staying.
