Steady! Dancehall artiste Jahvillani is back with a hot new music video for one of his latest singles titled ‘Rubberband’.   Like his video for Sunday To Sunday, Rubberband is absolutely worth a few views; watch below.

The official video, dropped three days ago, follows the release of the single on December 6 on the Aircraft Riddim which was produced by Chimney Records. Rubberband’s video is brief but well crafted by Magical Studio, who also recently worked on Teejay‘s Day One video.

The visuals stay true to the lyrics of the song, featuring the One Government artiste as he pops the rubber bands off bricks of cash. An insane parade of video vixens come along for the two and a half minute energetic ride that cuts between three locations – a daytime street scene, a club with choreographed dancers and what looks like a late night driveway party.

While Rubberband is not very lyrically original, Jahvillani’s trap dancehall delivery and swag is on point with the contagious and luscious beat of the Aircraft Riddim. It’s evident that the North coast artiste is growing more comfortable with the camera to build a stronger connection to his fans.

Jahvillani, whose real name is Dujon Mario Edwards, is almost never photographed without a lit blunt between his fingers and the artiste seems to be cashing in on that trademark with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it spot for Lion Pride, Jamaica’s first rolling paper company.

Wileside fans popped into the comments section by the hundreds to share their opinions on the new video, which has so far received over 200,000 views. “Video is clean af 🔥,” said one fan. “Mi naa lie deh one ya shot..him flow and lyrics plus the riddim combine nice,” added another. “Gad video dem always bad,” one fan agreed.

Now boasting over 24 million total YouTube views, Jahvillani first attracted major attention in 2019 with a distinctive sound and steady flow. Tracks like Clarks Pon Foot and Wileside Government drew more than 3 million views each last year, while he received accolades and praise as a dancehall artiste to keep an eye on.

The Aircarft Riddim is available on Apple Music.  Watch Jahvillani’s Rubberband below.
