Shaggy has once again brought happiness to children at the Bustamante Hospital who will not able to spend Christmas at home with their family. Shaggy’s Make A Difference Foundation has made a donation of Christmas toys to patients of the children’s hospital in Jamaica which is the only one of its kind among English speaking nations in the Caribbean.

On Monday, The reggae superstar shared news of his foundation’s donation by posting a series of photos of the gifts on his Instagram account.

The photos show volunteers working to prepare the “hundreds” of gifts for the children. View them below. In a message accompanying the photos, he thanks volunteers for their tireless help.

“To our wonderful volunteers who so tirelessly year after year, give their time and effort in wrapping hundreds of presents for these young children who won’t be spending Christmas at home we thank them for their love their big hearts and commitment to the children of Jamaica”, he said.

Shaggy also said this was the largest contribution of gifts they have made in the 15 years since his organisation began working with the hospital.

At the end of the message, the two-time Grammy Award winner added “NO ONE WILL EVER DERAIL US FROM OUR MISSION… THE CARING CONTINUES.”, which is a reference to questions raised in recent news reports that the Bustamante Children’s Hospital was yet to see any money from the $100 million raised two years ago at a Shaggy and Friends concert. A symbolic check for $100 millon had been presented to the hospital after the concert.

At a press conference, Shaggy declared that he never touched the money and brought out bank statements to prove it. The singer said that it was never his Foundation’s policy to hand over funds raised directly, but rather to provide equipment.

He said the whole situation left him feeling disheartened and that he will be putting thought into his future charitable work. “In moving forward, I have to really think about this with my team. I am going to sit down with William, who has been an amazing advisor to me, Rebecca, Jackie, Sharon, just my core team, and really figure out how we move forward from this part because this was disheartening,” said Shaggy.
