Three weeks after its release, Zen’s heartfelt breakup anthem Over You is proving that authentic storytelling still cuts through the noise.
The fast-rising dancehall singer is enjoying a breakout moment as the single continues to gain momentum across FM radio, streaming platforms and social media, emerging as one of the season’s fastest-growing independent releases.
Released on June 12, Over You has already amassed more than 650,000 views across digital platforms, with the official music video alone attracting over 642,000 views in just three weeks. The song is also gaining traction on TikTok, where users have embraced its memorable hook and emotionally resonant lyrics.
“The feedback has been incredible,” Zen said. “The fans have really responded to the song with great interaction and shares on TikTok.”
At its heart, Over You is a story of healing. The song follows a man determined to move beyond the emotional wreckage of a toxic relationship, blending soulful melodies with polished dancehall production to create a record that feels both vulnerable and empowering.

Born in Montego Bay and raised in Rosemount, Cambridge, St. James, Zen’s musical roots stretch back to the church choir before he honed his talent at Cambridge High School, where he became a finalist in the JCDC Festival of the Arts.
His journey into music, however, began behind the scenes.
Before stepping into the spotlight, Zen built a reputation as producer Alpha, crafting beats and sharpening his skills in songwriting, arrangement and production. That experience now gives his music a polished, cinematic quality that sets him apart from many of his contemporaries.
