Dancehall star Future Fambo is doubling up with his latest project, literally. He is bringing double the music, while saluting a superstar who has stood by him, and been his mentor and friend during the darkest chapters of his life.
The dancehall veteran teams with Sean Paul for a video premiere pairing “Money Money (Remix)” and “Rong Bong,” arriving today (October 30) on Sean Paul’s official YouTube channel. For Fambo, the release represents more than another collaboration: it is the latest chapter in a relationship that extends beyond the recording booth.
“This is a major, major music video because the general Sean Paul, he always supportive. It is on Sean Paul’s channel, Money Money produced by Supa hype, and Rong Bong produced by Sean Paul, on his Dutty Rock label. Go stream it, go support it,” Future Fambo said.
The two-song presentation brings together separate productions under one premiere, with Supa Hype behind “Money Money (Remix)” and Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock operation is handling “Rong Bong.”
On Thursday, Sean Paul made the announcement on social media in classic patois: “Two big bad chunes, one music video 🔥🔥🔥 #MoneyMoneyRemix and #RongBong wid Future Fambo visuals dropping TOMORROW 🎥.”
There was no long press rollout or teaser campaign, just a direct note to the people who follow him most closely.
Their musical connection includes “I’m So Blessed”.In recent interviews, Future Fambo described the personal support behind their working relationship, crediting Sean Paul with paying to bring him home from New York during a period of homelessness and helping him enter rehabilitation.
“That’s why the Money Money Remix project is so important to me because I am doing it with a dancehall superstar, Sean Paul who has been always supportive to me. Always. In everything,” Fambo said.
That history gives Fambo’s praise added weight. His description of Sean Paul as “always supportive” reflects assistance he has publicly acknowledged during difficult periods, as well as their continued work together. Fambo recounted that when he was stranded and facing struggles abroad, Sean Paul provided funds for flights, hotel stays, and temporary housing to help him return safely to Jamaica.
Following advice from figures like Shaggy’s former manager Robert Livingston, Sean Paul encouraged Fambo to check into a rehabilitation program to address his battles with substance abuse and health scares. That stay reportedly cost US$107,000.
“This is a full circle moment for me because Sean Paul believed in me when no one else did, and his support means a lot to me, and we are bringing a double to the fans,” he said.
Fambo, who first emerged under the name Future Troubles, built his reputation through records including “Kung Fu” and later reached another generation with the Beenie Man collaboration “Rum and Red Bull”. Then Future Fambo grabbed the national spotlight for the third time with his ubiquitous viral hit, ‘Red Light Pepper Light’.
