Gunna on a song called “BACK TO LAGOS” is the kind of pairing that makes you look twice at a tracklist.

That is the headline moment on the newly released extended edition of Omah Lay’s sophomore album “CLARITY OF MIND,” which landed on October 30, 2026.

The Nigerian singer has stretched the project to 16 tracks by adding four new songs. Alongside the Gunna link up, French star Tiakola appears on “TAKE,” while “KEEP GOING” and “HOLY GHOST FIRE” round out the fresh material.

The two features point in clear directions. Gunna brings the Atlanta crowd that followed him through albums like “A Gift & a Curse” and the viral run of “fukumean,” while Tiakola carries serious weight in France, where he first came up with the La Courneuve group 4Keus before going solo with his debut album “Mélo.”

For Omah Lay, crossing borders is nothing new. He broke through in 2020 with “Bad Influence” and the “Get Layd” EP, then followed with a debut album, “Boy Alone,” in 2022, the same year Justin Bieber jumped on a remix of his song “Attention.”

That track record makes this deluxe feel less like a reach and more like a continuation. The original “CLARITY OF MIND” already explored personal growth, spirituality, relationships and the messier side of success, and the new additions are framed as giving listeners more of that introspective sound.

There are really two ways to read this release. One is purely strategic, with an American rap feature and a French feature placed side by side to pull Omah Lay further into two markets that have increasingly embraced Afrobeats and its offshoots.

The other reading is more personal. Song titles like “KEEP GOING” and “HOLY GHOST FIRE” suggest he is still digging into the faith and pressure themes that have defined his writing, rather than simply chasing a bigger audience with the new material.

The release comes through Sire Records and Warner Records, the same partnership behind the original album.

Extended editions have become a familiar tool for keeping an album cycle alive, but four songs with two international guests is a heavier refresh than the usual handful of leftovers.

The Tiakola collaboration might be the sleeper of the bunch. French audiences have shown a strong appetite for Afro influenced sounds in recent years, and Tiakola has built much of his own style around melodic, Afro tinged songwriting that sits naturally next to Omah Lay’s voice.

Then there is the Gunna question. American rappers jumping on Afrobeats records has produced mixed results over the years, and how “BACK TO LAGOS” lands with fans on both sides of the Atlantic will say a lot about where this era goes next.

For now, the “CLARITY OF MIND” chapter is officially longer, and the extended edition is out across streaming platforms.

The bigger test is which of these four new songs fans latch onto first, and whether any of them breaks out beyond the album.
