Diddy just lost 41 more days of freedom, and the timing is hard to ignore. His release date from Fort Dix has shifted for the ninth time, landing right after NBC aired a report detailing what his former unit mates described as a pretty comfortable life behind bars.

Last week, the Bureau of Prisons listed his release as Jan. 21, 2028. Now it reads March 2, 2028, and the bureau hasn’t offered any explanation for the extra time.

The NBC report is where things get messy. Four men who shared a unit with Diddy told the network about paid massages and meals cooked for him by other inmates.

According to them, people on the outside deposited cash into the accounts of prisoners who cooked, cleaned and took care of other chores.

NBC’s footage also appeared to show him using a banned phone, and sources claimed he used one to look at nude photos. Money is power, especially behind bars,” one source told the network.

His camp tells a different story. Diddy’s spokesman says he has followed prison rules while he waits on an appeals court to rule on his case.

Either way, staff moved him out of his unit once the report went public. He’s still sitting in solitary confinement.

Diddy is serving 50 months on two Mann Act convictions for arranging travel across state lines for prostitution. The jury acquitted him of racketeering and sex trafficking, and his legal team is still fighting to get the remaining two convictions overturned.

That legal team is part of the problem right now. Sher Tremonte has asked to withdraw from two of his civil matters, the Lil Rod case and his lawsuit against Nexstar, pointing to unpaid fees and months without direct contact with their client.

“Mr. Combs has not paid Sher Tremonte anything for over six months,” firm partner Michael Tremonte wrote in court filings. The firm also wants to keep his case files until the bill is settled.

Diddy isn’t taking that quietly. He says the firm billed him for work he never signed off on, so this fight over money looks far from finished.

Then there’s the NBCUniversal loss, which might sting the most. On Tuesday, a judge ordered him to pay $477,700.50 in legal fees after tossing his $100 million lawsuit against the company.

He had sued over Peacock’s documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, arguing it falsely linked him to murder and sex crimes. NBC originally asked for $990,292, but the judge trimmed that figure, citing excessive billing.

So Diddy now owes close to half a million dollars to the same company whose newsroom put his alleged prison perks on blast. That report came right before he was sent back to the hole.

NBC’s lawyers have 10 days from the entry of the order to file a proposed judgment spelling out exactly what he owes.

Meanwhile, his appeal is still pending, his lawyers are trying to walk away, and the prison bureau still hasn’t said why his calendar keeps moving.
