50 Cent has found a new way to keep his oldest feud alive, and this time it involves a jail cell in Florida. The G-Unit boss says he’s sending his lawyer, Drew Findling, to get the man accused of pistol whipping Rick Ross’ son out of custody.

On Tuesday (Oct. 20), 50 posted the arrest file of Don Roberts to Instagram. Roberts, 20, shares a last name with Ross’ son, William Roberts III, but the two aren’t related.

“I got him he will be out tomorrow I’m sending @drewfindling. This is a big misunderstanding that can easily be resolved,” 50 wrote. He couldn’t resist a plug either, adding, “This was a street fight, I mean STREET FIGHTER is in theaters! LOL.”

The incident behind all of this is a lot less funny. According to NBC 6 in Miami, citing the police report, Ross’ son was near the Bethune-Cookman University campus in Daytona Beach on Oct. 11, talking with a woman, when Roberts got out of a car and walked up to him.

Roberts was reportedly angry because he appeared to have been romantically involved with her in the past.

“I don’t care who your daddy is, I’ll kill you right here,” Roberts allegedly said. He then allegedly struck Roberts III with a gun, and the younger Ross, who is enrolled at the school and plays football there, fled home after the hit.

Police arrested Don Roberts on Oct. 16 after Roberts III picked him out of a lineup. He faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Per Complex, Roberts has pleaded not guilty to both felony counts. Volusia County jail records show he was still in custody as of 50’s post, with a court hearing scheduled for Wednesday (Oct. 21).

Billboard says it reached out to reps for both 50 Cent and Ross for comment. So far, neither camp has publicly addressed the bail offer.

The timing lands in an already rough month for Ross. The Maybach Music Group founder was arrested on Oct. 1 on domestic battery charges, and 50 jumped on it immediately after a judge didn’t seem to know who Ross was when his attorney asked for an expedited release.

“The judge don’t know that fool LOL,” 50 wrote at the time, before telling the court to go ahead and book him. Ross’ legal team pushed back hard, saying he had been “wrongly accused” by an ex.

Mr. Roberts is innocent and has pled not guilty to the charges,” his attorneys said in a statement to Billboard. “He respectfully requests that his friends, fans and the general public not prejudge the situation and allow the judicial process to run its course.”

This rivalry dates back to 2008, and almost two decades later 50 still treats every Ross headline as an opening.

Dragging a college student’s assault into the mix is a different kind of shot, though, and plenty of fans will be watching to see if Findling actually turns up in Volusia County.
