The Unruly Boss has a new door open—and American fans could finally get their moment.
Jamaican dancehall star Popcaan has secured his U.S. visa, according to The Shade Room, clearing a significant hurdle in his bid to perform for his American audience.

For the Drake-affiliated OVO Sound artiste, the development creates an opportunity to take his music to fans who have been waiting to experience him live. No U.S. performance dates were announced in the supplied report.

Speaking exclusively with The Shade Room, his sister, Unruly Squid, framed the news as a meaningful milestone for an artiste whose family has witnessed the work behind his career.

“Pops has put so much into his career, and as family, we know firsthand what this journey has taken. So, to see another door open for him is something we don’t take lightly. America has a huge audience that loves and supports him, and I’m excited for the day those fans get to experience his energy in person.”

Squid, who has publicly advocated for her brother, also said Popcaan and his team are working behind the scenes to make his next chapter bigger.

For now, the visa is the breakthrough. The next announcement fans will be watching for is a date, a venue—and a chance to see the Unruly Boss take the stage.
