A brand new sewing machine for an aspiring fashion designer and a motorised tricycle for a commercial driver are not the opening images you’d expect from a Kizz Daniel video.

Yet that’s where the heart of “Owo Oluwa” lives. The singer has dropped the official visual for his latest track, and it plays more like a community story than a typical music video.

“Owo Oluwa” translates from Yoruba as “The Hand of God.” Kizz Daniel has dedicated the song to the memory of his late parents, and you can hear that weight in every line. He recruited Young Jonn, producer Krizbeatz and the Wave Choir to bring it to life.

This is a clear swerve for an artist best known for filling dance floors. Kizz Daniel built his name on party records, from his early breakout “Woju” to the viral run of “Buga” with Tekno. Here he leans into an Afro-gospel sound, singing about faith, divine guidance and inner peace instead of nights out.

The lyrics keep coming back to the idea of walking gently through life, captured in the Yoruba phrase “ṣe jẹjẹ.”

Kizz Daniel sings about trusting spiritual grace over earthly anxiety, which lands differently once you know who the song is for. It feels personal without ever turning heavy.

Krizbeatz keeps things moving underneath all that reflection. He blends a rhythmic Afrobeat bounce with a house music arrangement, so the track still has a pulse you can sway to. Young Jonn adds his own vocal touch, and the Wave Choir fills out the backing harmonies.

The video was co-directed by Perliks Definition and Asherkine, the Nigerian content creator known for his philanthropy.

It opens on an elevated circular green stage, with Kizz Daniel in a sharp oversized black blazer. Behind him, the Wave Choir stands in black and white robes under draped fabric.

Then the scene shifts to Nigerian streets, and Asherkine takes over the storytelling. He carries the song’s message of divine favour into real lives, handing out gifts that change people’s day and maybe their livelihoods. The camera catches the raw stuff, from tears of relief to spontaneous street dances.

That pairing of song and giving is the clever part. Instead of telling viewers about grace, the video tries to show what it looks like on an ordinary afternoon.

Some will watch it purely as a Kizz Daniel tribute, while others will come for Asherkine’s familiar brand of on-camera generosity.

Young Jonn also gets his moments, with warm scenes alongside elders woven through the footage. One standout shot shows an older man tuning a vintage boombox radio, a quiet nod to generations of listeners. It fits a song so rooted in family and memory.

Fans who know Kizz Daniel mainly for his club anthems now have a very different side of him to sit with. The video is out now, and the conversation around his gospel turn is only getting started.
