A Drake and Don Toliver song built around Ella Langley’s country hit “Choosin’ Texas” is doing the heavy lifting on the new HABIBTI (FOMO) deluxe. “Solar Eclipse” pulled in roughly 3.3 million Spotify streams in its first full day, the biggest number of the four fresh tracks.
Those four songs came out of Drake’s “FOMO” short film, which set up the deluxe edition of HABIBTI. Alongside “Solar Eclipse,” the additions are “Classic PT2,” a sequel to the original “Classic,” plus “Quebec” and “Cold Shoulder,” which brings Don Toliver back for a second appearance.
Per Bars on Instagram, the new batch combined for 8.96 million Spotify streams on day one. “Cold Shoulder” and “Quebec” each landed around 2.2 million, while “Classic PT2” trailed with about 1.3 million, and those figures were holding steady at the time HotNewHipHop reported them.
That early pull is feeding into healthy sales forecasts. Nora Music projects HABIBTI (FOMO) to move 65K album equivalent units in its first week, and Hip Hop All Day reported the project could re-peak at No. 2 on next week’s Billboard 200.
A re-peak like that would be a strong second wind for a release that already had its moment. It also fits a pattern in Drake’s 2026, where ICEMAN has landed in album of the year conversations and he keeps finding ways to push his other releases back into rotation.
Not everyone is cheering, though. The numbers kicked off plenty of arguments online, with critics still taking shots at Drake’s recent material and supporters openly confused about what the complaints even are.
Others went straight to the comparison game, stacking the projections against this week’s figures from Taylor Swift and several fellow rappers.
The back and forth may end up helping, since every round of debate puts HABIBTI (FOMO) in front of more people.
Drake hasn’t exactly been quiet himself. He fired off a lengthy Instagram response after an interviewer speaking with Victoria Monét called him a “professional” trick, a label that clearly got under his skin.

The situation spilled onto Monét, who caught criticism from fans and media outlets before clarifying that she never brought up Drake’s name. It’s another example of how the OVO boss can turn almost any side comment into a full news cycle.
For now, the 65K figure and the No. 2 spot are still projections. The official Billboard 200 numbers arrive next week, and that’s when we’ll find out if “Solar Eclipse” and company can actually carry the deluxe back near the top.
