Stefflon Don, DJ Frass Bring Back Old School Dancehall In ‘Sweet Bounce’: Watch

UK-based Dancehall star Stefflon Don and producer DJ Frass brought back old-school Dancehall vibes in their new summer banger, dubbed Sweet Bounce.

The song floats on Frass’ infectious Dancehall Night Riddim which also features Beenie Man (So Me Stay), Mavado (Location), Cham (Jamaican Lolli), Kranium (Section), Ding Dong (New), Moyann (One Boyfriend), among others.

Directed by Xtreme Arts, Sweet Bounce now has brand new visuals to bring the rhythmic beat and catchy hook to life. Stefflon never disappoints, donning a crop top, batty rider shorts and matching white shades with platinum blond box braids sweeping down to her knees.

The video spotlights the British native in a colorful Jamaican-themed party scene among a bunch of enthusiastic dancers to back her in brandishing the “Sweet Bounce” dance move. Just rock your hips from side to side and wave your hands from your face down to your waistline to the tune of the beat.

But the experts—deejay Laa Lee, and popular dancers Desha Ravers, Tyreke Dirtt, SarahBendii, and more—make cameos to show how it’s really done.

Besides throwing down verses to put in effect the “Sweet Bounce” dance moves, Stefflon Don plays on the old-school lyrics, “we run things, things don’t run we” from the 1988 song We Run Things by Dancehall veteran Flourgon, who in 2018 sued Miley Cyrus for stealing the “we run things” lyric her 2013 chart-topping song We Can’t Stop. In January 2020, Cyrus and her legal team settled the US$300 million (JA$40 billion) lawsuit for an undisclosed amount.
