Protoje spent the day skating through Ethiopia’s capital alongside the Addis Girls Skate crew, made possible through Ethiopia Skate.
It’s a pairing that sounds unexpected on paper but makes a kind of instinctive sense reggae and skate culture have shared an underground, DIY energy for decades, and this video seems to lean into that without making a big deal of it.
What Protoje describes in his own words is “unbridled fun and freedom through the eyes of these young Ethiopian ladies moving through their city.”
