Belizean Artist ‘Big Bang Manifest’ Shot And Killed During Las Vegas Home Invasion
Belizean-born artist Anfernee “BigBang Manifest” Pollard was gunned down during a fatal home invasion in his home in Las Vegas late Wednesday night.
Authorities confirm that a woman was also fatally wounded in the incident.
A ten-year-old child survived the shooting and alerted the authorities.
Big Bang is also the brother of former Belize City Deputy Mayor Allan Pollard. At one time, Big Bang Manifest was managed by Jamaican music executive Neville Muir.
The news of his death has sent shockwaves through Belize’s entertainment community, where Big Bang was celebrated for his ambition, talent, and determination to represent Belizean artistry on the international stage.
Former Music Ambassador of Belize and rap superstar Moses “Shyne” Barrow joined in the chorus of grief along with family, friends and the musical community of the small island. He wrote on Thursday on social media: “I join the Belizean Music community in mourning this massive loss, I feel this deep in my stomach.”
Shyne recalled meeting the “young brilliant talent determined to make his impact on the global stage” at an event 12 years ago at Heights of Vibes Studio along with other up-and-coming young artistes: Fada Lee, “King” Kosa, Ty and Prophit.
Pollard, widely known in Belize’s music circles as “BigBang,” had migrated to the United States several years ago to pursue his musical career.
He collaborated with Belizean artist King Kosa and worked with Jamaican producer Rvssian, as he pushed his music on the international stage.
For a time, Pollard was based in Chicago, where he continued to develop his craft and expand his audience. His relocation to Las Vegas marked another chapter in his pursuit of success in the competitive U.S. music industry.
Police in Las Vegas have not yet released details on possible suspects or motives. The investigation remains ongoing.
